The set arrived gift box ready with the smell of sage floating out of the box (before opening). I have been studying and using essential oils/fragrances for over ten years. Truthfully speaking- I know my stuff. I can always tell when a candle is made with a natural 100% soy wax blend. The smell is light without overwhelming the senses and a soft calming aroma will emerge. Keep in mind different people prefer different scents. In addition, what may smell heavily scented may be lighter scented for someone else. The only way to determine the true aroma is to light the candle. Allow it to burn for the scent to fill the room. Furthermore, just smelling a candle right outside of the box will not allow you to determine the true scent. A beautiful gift set for anyone who is a fan of cleansing energy through meditation.

Overjoyed! When I saw this replace set. In all seriousness we really do use our candles often. They are just the right amount scent and light energy. This was meant as a replacement for when our original candles and spray are gone but the scent and packaging are so wonderful it is slated as a gift. We are definitely ordering this set again.
