Deck Mount Pole (2 Pack)

Bought three of these for our son's wedding in our backyard. We installed them in the grass using a T-Pole and they were incredible.Very easy to install, sturdy and the lighting was beautiful. My son and his bride were thrilled and all the guests loved the lighting.Could not have done it without this amazing product. Thank you so much!

While these light poles are not cheap, they do work very well. I found them to be very easy to install and sturdy. I attached them to my deck with lag bolts and hung string lights to them. They come in two sections so you can attach the string lights to the top section while not attached to the bottom section. So, you may not even need a ladder to attach the string lights to the top of the 9.6 foot pole. They look better than anything I could have made myself with a trip to the hardware store.

I liked the height of this pole and the caribiner on the top to attach a light string. I also liked the fact that it was in two pieces which makes it easier to install.I didn’t screw mine into a wood deck or cement patio like the instructions said to. Why follow instructions when you can create your own instructions? Instead I screwed mine into a wood stand made of 2x4s sort of like a Xmas tree stand. I then placed that into a large fiberglass plant pot that I had laying around. I then placed about a dozen large bricks on top of the stand and filled the remaining space in the pot with gravel for extra weight and to stabilize the bricks.When I was done attaching my string lights to the pole, the light pole looked like the leaning tower of Pisa. Very disappointed. The pole had shifted within the pot so I drove a log splitting wedge between the pole and the bricks to make it more plum. After plumming it up I was disappointed to see that the pole itself was bending where the two pieces of pole connect. Not a lot but easily visible to the casual observer. This is the only negative thing I have to say about the pole. This is an obvious engineering error. Maybe it should have been designed to screw together instead of snap together with one little spring loaded button? In the end, I got it installed and it is doing what I wanted it to do so I am ninety something percent satisfied with it.

Super sturdy, high quality. I searched for patio light stands and hesitated to spend the money on these, so I looked around and realized, it wasn't worth it to spend less on something less quality and have them blow over or bend from a tough storm. I'm so glad I spend the money. Also, we have had rain for 4 weeks straight & there is no sign of rust or mildew.

I ordered a set of 2 IYN base plate string light poles. I received one pole that had a square base plate (for mounting to wood deck or concrete patio) with 4 mounting holes. I received a second pole that had a round base plate with 3 mounting holes. After examining the poles, the pole with the square base plate was heavier and more substantial than the pole with the round base plate. I contacted Amazon to point out the situation. They weren’t very helpful other than just suggesting I would have to return both and reorder. They said to contact IYN (seller) direct. After contacting IYN, who was very helpful and responsive, I discovered that the round base plate model is the old version and the square base plate model is the newest version. They said Amazon should no longer be shipping the old model. The lady, who I communicated with at IYN, indicated that they had spoken with their rep at Amazon and informed them that they should no longer be shipping the old version. I did end up getting Amazon to let me return just the one pole that had a round base plate. IYN was willing to ship out the correct one and provide me a shipping label to send the incorrect one back to them, but it was too late as I had already shipped it back through Amazon. IYN then told me that I should just reorder it through Amazon and they should now only be shipping out the square base model. I am reluctant to do so as there is apparently still old inventory out there and I don’t trust that Amazon won’t ship me a round base plate version again. You can order direct from IYN (Allsop) from their website. The poles are more expensive direct with IYN, however, at least you know you will receive the newest version which is a better pole than the old version. With all of that said, the square base plate pole that I received is great and I am very happy with how sturdy and substantial it feels. Installation on my terrace was easy as I just picked up (4) 5/16” x1 1/2” black lag screws from my local ACE Hardware (it does not come with mounting hardware) and installed it in about 10 mins. I am going to reorder the second one direct from IYN.

My wife and I spent a while looking at light poles and this was the best. I used a pipe grip tie for 1 1/2 in pipe for extra support in the corners of our deck. The straight light pattern looks better than the zig zag. I bought the light hanging kit from newleray for extra support.

Product look and install was easy. Sturdiness was terrible. Put string lights and cable on and the poles literally warped and would not stay rigid. If you want to have lights that stay tight and rigid. Don't reccomend a span more than 10ft. If you have to buy that many it becomes uneconimical.

It is much stronger than similar products. We are using it to balance & prop our lights up. Very happy with this purchase!
