Soft, silicone ornaments are probably never going to be as life-like as their advertising but they are a simple and convenient way to add movement and colour to a tank. This strip has a heavy wire in its base that lets you bend it to any shape you wish. The weight of the wire also ensures that the ornament stays on the bottom of your tank rather than floating around. The tendrils are flexible and move easily if your fish swim through them or if you have a current in your tank. Under white light, however, the colours are not that impressive but brighten up under a coloured light. Cute. I curled mine a bit and sat it over an air stone so that the bubbles cause the tendrils to wave about. The fish seem to enjoy it.

WARNING!! As cool as it (and we really loved how it looked) ...and even though we cleaned it with vinegar and soaked it (in betta cleaning solution) before placing it in the tank... our betta's beautiful half moon tail shredded within a week of use!!!=(=(=(
