Absolutely well worth twice the price. Soft, enjoyable to work. Wonderful quality. In six balls not one knot, nicely even and securely spun yarn that had nice give in working but never thinned too much. Used in a baby blanket with size four needles. (Daughter lives in Florida so I was looking for a looser knit to lighten the blanket). Size one to three is recommended but I was pleased with quality. As with all fuzzy ( I use the term loosely here... since shed was minimum ) piercing the yarn can slow down knitting speed. I found the integrity of the yarn minimized the piercing problem. Really love the outcome of this yarn. Super soft. Tips for anyone who is not sure how many balls of yarn you should use. I personally don’t like the scarf too long. For this scarf, I knitted basic rows, 30 stitches; the outcome is about 40 inches, excluding the fringes. I only used 2 balls of yarn, including the fringes.The only thing that annoys me is that this yarn is pretty fuzzy. The pile is shedding every time I touch it. Shouldn’t wear this scarf on a black shirt!!!

This AndeanSun baby alpaca yarn has been a pleasure to work with! It has a nice soft touch with a little stretch. It is a true DK weight, has a nice twist, and good stitch definition. I used it to make a cowl as a gift and it turned out beautiful. While I have found baby alpaca on sale for less, the price of 28.99 for three skeins is not bad, especially since it is quality yarn.

My daughter crocheted a scarf with this yarn and absolutely loved the experience and the finished product. The yarn was very easy to work with and did not split at all, and the final product is extremely soft and drapes almost like silk. The only issue is that my daughter is hypersensitive to wool, so she finds the scarf slightly itchy around her neck, but on her arms, the yarn is just fine. I do not have this issue of an itchy neck while wearing the scarf, so for most people, I think itchiness is a non-issue. In all, it's a beautiful yarn in a great color and is very pleasurable to work with.

I have used this yarn for weaving and knitting. I wasn't crazy about the texture in weaving but it was strong enough to warp a loom. I don't necessarily say the texture with my weaving project was the yarn (I am a rank beginner and the texture PROBABLY had more to with my inexperience than the quality of the yarn). In a knitted scarf the quality is excellent. I think it will fuzz up some with wear, but I think it will enhance the scarf. If you want very clean stitches, this may not be the best choice.

I took up knitting again before the pandemic because one of my granddaughters wanted to learn, and it has kept me sane ever since. This yarn is absolutely luxurious and perfect for knitting garments for children as it isn't even remotely scratchy. It's light but very warm, and the colors are beautiful. It always arrives within a day or two at the most which is very handy if you're running out near the end of a project.

Knits up wonderfully with lots of drape. It's not scratchy like sheep wool and almost reminds me of angora. My daughter loves the cowel I made these into. Soft on the skin.

Three skeins of 100% Alpaca yarn arrived very quickly after ordering and were quickly put to use. Fine quality yarn that is very soft and easy to work with. I will order more for other projects.
