This is by far the best cat teaser wand, retractable or not, I've ever purchased. The amazing part is this maker does not even specialize in cat toys!! Check out their product line.I have Da Bird wands, Go Cat teaser mouse wands, Pet Fit For Life wands, Jackson Galaxy retractable wand, teaser wands from local stores.... you name it and there's a good chance I've gotten it. While some of them were decent and my cats had enjoyed them tremendously, the control of the movements of the wands were always awkward: either the line got tangled with the bird easily or the bird didn't go where you wanted it to go. Plus they always never worked in small spaces.This one is different. It has a longer pole and a shorter line( fish line like but thicker), making the control of the wand a piece of cake even in a smaller space. The retractable pole works like a charm: easy to pull and easy to retract, no malfunction during play. Come with our different toys and the price is even cheaper than any of the other wands mentioned above!!I just can't believe my luck for finding it on lightening deals. I've since placed another order for two more wands for spares.Because I just got it a few days ago, I can't vouch for it's longevity. But the design of this wand from an unknown maker should put all the well known cat toy manufacturers to shame. It's about time someone challenges these complacent businessmen to make better products to worth our hard earned money.

Within 2 min the toy fell apart. I really like design of the rod. And not only I used this toy for my cat, but I also gave it as a gift to my friend. She had the same disappointing experience. It was my second purchase. I will gladly remove this review if the company finds solution to improve the toy. (Hint- use something like a crazy glue and placing thin wooden sticks inside the black holder to keep all components tight and glued together) I really want that company fix this problem so that it will be the best toy on the market.

There are plenty of cat wands you can buy that only cost a couple bucks, but don't waste your money on those cheap pieces of plastic.We were taking care of my sister-in-law's cat, and it didn't take long for him to break a cat wand that we had bought for a few bucks. We ended up getting this one as a replacement, and we're so glad we made that choice!The wand itself is made from carbon fiber, so it's able to stand up to quite a bit of abuse! Cats love variety, so one thing we especially love is how customizable this toy is. You can change the length as needed, and it extends up to 3 feet. There are 4 different attachments you can use, including a couple feathers and a couple furry caterpillar things. And of course, everything is attached by a sturdy fishing wire.Recommended purchase for cat lovers!

broke in less than a week. Not recommend this, my cat ate half of the catepillar toy.

I have a cat that absolutely loves this toy. He especially likes it when the worm is on the end. He's pretty rough with his toys and so far this has held up well. I do want to note that I removed the eyes from the worms as I didn't want him to eat them.
