I have 4 of these and specially use them for trout fishing in streams. I pair with a small 4 ft rod. It's easy to carry around and fishies flawlessly. Easy to cast in and around trees, boulders bends, curves rapids, lakes etc. Hands down this is my favorite reel for the multitude of uses. The durability is there with such a nice smooth cast to it.

The size 6 is a great size for the family..All 4 of my family have one..Well made..Weight is good for a mid size reel..Easy to work with..come with 8 pound line..Orders the wrong size ..a size 10 ..again all the I wants in a east bait cast real but to heavy for casual fishing..Hope this helpsDave

When I purchased this reel it was $20. It then doubled in price so I guess I caught it on sale. I am really impressed with the reel and it is not a cheap plastic one. It is all metal and should last a lifetime. I put 12 pound test monofilament on it and it cast smoothly without any snags or bird-nesting. I feel lucky to have got it for the price I paid and if you catch it on a similar sale it is a definite recommended buy. Even at the regular price it is a good reel if you don’t have time to wait to catch it on sale.
