Yes - this ink is as gorgeous as they say it is!
I have and use the following inks....Diamine, MontBlanc, Herbin, Private Reserve, Pelikan, Monteverde, Waterman, Visconti and Sailor... but no Rohrer and Klingner.I know they are well thought of in the two most important fountain pen forums, and voted head and shoulders above all their offerings are their two nut gall inks Salix and Scabiosa. With Scabiosa appearing to be a beautiful dark purple colour in all the swatches I'd seen, I decided to throw my hat in the ring and send for a bottle. It was delivered, perfectely packed, from the German seller within five days of ordering, which I thought was exceptional service. The ink itself doesn't disappoint in any way. It comes in a 50ml glass bottle and is an Iron Gall ink (the original type of ink that was made for nearly 1000 years from tree and plant products, before the more modern water and dye based inks of today) and has been specially formulated to work well in fountain pens.It is a beautiful dusky purple in colour, not as deep as Diamine Damson, but deeper than Herbins Poussiere de Lune. I predominantly use fine nibbed pens, with the occasional medium and Scabiosa shades very nicely with my F nibs, and really rather beautifully with my wetter M nibs.I am currently using it through a Monteverde Intima with an F nib, and a lovely big beast of a Jinhao 159 with the wettest M nib out there. Neither pen shows any nib creep or bleed through on the papers I have used so far. It dries quickly and, being iron gall, is extremely water resistant. The colour is simply perfect and even lends itself to business use.Pens dipped but not inked were a Muji M nib, a Pilot Traveller F nib, and a Nemosine Singularity clear demonstrator f nib - all of these pens showed the ink off exceptionally well.Paper used? Nu 120gsm cream notebooks, a Leuchturm 1917 journal and Viking Direct 100gsm copier paper. As you can probably tell, I am very happy with this inks colour and properties - and I recommend it to everyone. My only regret? Not ordering more R&K from this Amazon seller and filling the box up...but I'll be back!

Great ink
This ink exceeds my requirements. It is a beautiful colour. I have not tested it for water resistance but I intend to.

Gorgeous pink-purple ink, reasonably wet, no feathering
One of my favourite inks! I use it in a Pilot Custom 74 and it's the perfect wetness. There is no feathering or bleed through on Clairefontaine ivory paper and it's never caused me any trouble. In general, it's a very saturated ink with not much shading. Not water resistant, so stains are easy to clean. Highly recommended!

High Quality ink with and old-fashioned feel...
Fantastic ink in a pleasantly old-fashioned bottle. I agree with the comment of one reviewer who reckons it is a little pale in certain -dry writing - pens. My Pelikan 600 writes fairly wet, though and leaves a beautiful dark line, with paler highlights. It's perfectly acceptable for general use and sober enough for formal writing. I have many bottles of unused ink - I can't believe I'm unusual in buying inks because I'm attracted, magpie-like by an interesting colour, then finding that if I used it in letters, notes and anything destined for others' eyes, I would end up firmly in the "green ink brigade" (if you'll excuse the term). This colour manages to be individual and interesting without making its user seem eccentric (I think). It behaves well on all papers I've tried - I even got away with using it to do the Times crossword, though I'd be lying if I didn't admit to er, a certain amount of feathering....

Having yellow as a favourite colour is a little awkward when it comes to ...
Having yellow as a favourite colour is a little awkward when it comes to inks. It's probably no surprise that Rohrer & Klingner are one of the few companies to make it, and I'm really glad they did! This ink is a beautiful colour and I've loved writing with it. While vivid it's slightly darker than a bright yellow, and the bottle gives a good example of the golden tones you can expect to get from the product. It's perfect for writing on paper, especially paper which doesn't let the ink bleed, and less good on greetings cards than darker inks would be. That's fine by me though as fountain pens in general doesn't take all that well to slightly glossy card.I'm very happy with my purchase and added a second one to my wishlist for the future.

Superb ink for rubbish paper...Yes moleskine we're looking at you.
I have always (13 years) used moleskine diary's but although they suite my needs the paper is shockingly thin and rubbish .Fine for a biro or gel pen. However I like fountain pens so using one was nigh on impossible with collosal bleed thru and spidering (bleed across the paper). In a review elsewhere I heard of this ink . Initially the cost was a bit of a issue as 'what if its no better ' Well its excellent . I can write on the moleskine toilet paper and there is NO bleedthrough at all and no spidering . I have four fountain pens and even the wide nibbed one which puts a lot of ink out is fine so for all intents and purposes this ink is perfect for my needs Also its a bit of a novelty as it starts light blue and after about a minute it darkens to a royal blue as it has iron in it which reacts with the air and the paper apparently.

Great colour and value.
Old golden green- gorgeous free flowing ink that behaves like the much more expensive iroshizuku inks from pilot. Shades really well and it is enjoyable to use. Great value and I’ll be buying more!

Gorgeous ink
Bought this to add to my collection of inks. Love the colour, writes beautifully with all my dip pens, dries in around 15 seconds. Will buy again when needed. Arrived quickly.

Excellent "black"
All Rohrer & Klingner inks I've tried perform flawlessly. This one is no exception. It's a great black with just the slightest hint of blue. I wouldn't call it a blue-black by any means, but just a little something in there to keep it interesting. This has quickly become one of my favorite blacks.

Love this ink!
Rohrer & Klingner makes great fountain pen inks, and this color is incredible. The bottle shape makes it easy to fill your pen, wide opening and stable shape that does not tip over easily.

Beautiful Color Fantastic Deal
This is not some outlandish fluorescent color. It's subdued and as an iron-gall ink it will darken with age. You're not paying for a fancy bottle and the ink is a real bargain. As much as I love Pilot's ink line, this one is at least as nice as an ink, and half the price. Behaves well.
