This is the 2nd time purchasing one of these kits. First one was came with a flash drive and this one came with booklets for everyone. I prefer this format. Easy instructions good clues and everyone could improvise on their answers. I highly recommend this game. Great for family and friends get together

Great idea, but needs fine tuning. Need to print evidence sheets for game. Be sure to read through character booklets as some are a bit confusing and perhaps more colorful than needed.

First - to the Masters of Mystery company: Please print the booklets larger. Several guests had a difficult time reading the small print. Remember that folks may have masks on that might not work with their reading glasses. Even without a mask, the evening lighting made it tough. Also, a key at the end that the inspector could read that goes over all of the small mysteries/relationships would have finished off the night.Potential buyers: Think of the contents of this box as the foundation for a masquerade party where folks can act out their roles. People who get into their roles will have a ton of fun. There are some small mysteries having to do with who is related to who and it was very fun figuring this part out during the game.One change I would definitely make is to send a copy of the booklet to the guests with the invitation so they can pre-read their part. As mentioned above, I'd make the copy larger to make it easier to read. Send a copy in case they can't attend.With 20 guests all having fun, food and drinks interspersed, we spent 5 hours on the game.As written, the murderer is chosen at random and a few of the provided clues actually eliminate several of the guests erroneously. While still appearing random, we preselected the murderer and tweaked the clues to make sure they all fit. We also added a few extra clues and told the murderer to drop other hints.There are a couple parts that are a bit risqué. You could edit this down if your crowd is younger without impacting the plot.

This is absolutely terrible! One line characters asking literaly every other character the same scripted questions. No proper game instructions. Ending has no structure, rhyme, or reason. If you like printing your own(literally three) clues from a "box" set game, waste your money here!

Missing clues and invites!

We had a wonderful time celebrating our daughter's 16th birthday with a masquerade murder mystery dinner party. The guests had a blast dressing up in character, and the kit came with printable invitations and audio downloads which made the party even better. Our only difficulty was that the character booklets are a small size, therefore the font is small, which made reading the scripts difficult in low light and for older party guests. Overall I would recommend this game/kit though.

I’m missing the invites and the clues. Not very good for the price of this product. Very disappointed.

It’s not my first kit from masters of mystery and I’m always happy with them. Me and my friends have a blast playing we are looking into doing one for Halloween as well!

NOT OUR FINAL REVIEW - awaiting time til we play at the end of September! Initial disappointment about the box set which does NOT contain paper invitations or paper-based 'evidence'. It DOES have individually printed character guides for all 20 players, well printed on nice thick magazine style paper - though the print is small. These disappointments have been balanced hugely by superb customer service from the company, who responded fast to our request for draft invitations (though we liked our own mock ups better!) and then sent a super-friendly note showing they listen to their customers - and act on advice received. A fantastic small company. We are super hopeful that the game will be fun for our eager teens to play - but for now at least, we recommend you stick with the digital download version. We will adjust this review again once we've played the game itself! Good luck!

We played this at my daughters birthday party and it’s was a real hit, everyone loved it and dressed up and got into character.The design of the booklets are such good quality. We have ordered some others to try over Christmas.
