You'll Believe A Man Can... Fall Over
Before we get to the wonky feet, let's talk about the positives. I love this figure, especially as I often bemoan the fact that, these days, superhero toys seldom look like they do in the comics (before my wife reminds me that I'm in my sixties now, and the characters haven't looked that way in a long time). Well, this figure looks very much like the Superman whose adventures I used to read in the comics I'd buy back in the 1960s and 1970s. Okay, maybe not the way the cape attaches but I'm happy to let that go. I very much wanted a traditional looking Superman and I got one - trunks and all! Yes, I like the trunks. I don't care about the jokes, to me Superman doesn't look like Superman without the trunks. Now, of course, Superman never appeared in the 1966 Batman TV show, so the head sculpt doesn't appear to be based on any actor in particular, certainly not George Reeves who played the part on telly a few years before Adam West's Batman debuted. Actually, looking at my figure now, there is a resemblance to Kirk Alyn, the first actor to portray Superman on screen - I'm not sure if that's deliberate or my imagination, but I'm happy either way.Okay, a couple of negatives: When I was removing the figure from his box, I found there was a small piece of sticky tape attached to the cape. I was very careful as I tried to remove it but the tape still left a small mark. The other problem is that it's very difficult to make the figure stand without contorting him into a very awkward pose. Of course, there are people who would never even dream of removing a toy from its box, so that won't be a problem for them. But, for myself, as someone who likes to liberate his toys from the Phantom Zone of their packaging, the fact that he won't stand up right is what stops me from giving this product the five star review that it would otherwise deserve. In short, a beautiful action-figure of a traditional looking Superman for this traditional old fan.

Look up in the sky!
Nice retro looking figure for the 66 Batman line. Would’ve been cool if it looked like George Reeves. But still a nice figure
