It’s a bit deceiving because it can only be used independently as a play yard. Not as baby gate

Great quality but a bit pricey. I bought two of this item and I used it to create safe place for my daughter to play in the first floor where there are my living room, kitchen and three staircases for the remaining part of the house. I needed some help with the hardware. I called Amazon customer service and the where not helpful. I decided to call north states because I really did not want to return it because I needed it and I have been waiting for it to be delivered for two weeks. North states were super helpful ❤, within minutes they address my concerns within days they mailed me the hardware package that I needed it free of charge. North states is a great manufacture with outstanding customer service. Don't think twice about buying north states brand either from here or directly from north states own website. Enjoy the comfort of knowing that your child is safe at home with north states. 😇

They only provide 1 fitting type per side. They should include atleast 2 fitting types per side to give user options for assembling with same type panel on each side

Needed an extra wide gate for our new house from the kitchen to the great room. The opening is about 9 feet. I was able to open the box and immediately know how to rearrange the pieces. The system is simple and requires no tools. I thought the connections might be flimsy but they are really solid. The gate also came with a template for the plates you need to screw into the wall. I was worried about the baseboard since it's rather large and thick. Other gates we've had needed spacers. When I didn't see any in the box I got worried I needed to order extra parts. Nope. The wall plates extend from the wall about 2.5 inches so they go past any baseboard. The bottom plate also is installed about 10 inches from the floor so it's way past the tall baseboard. The design was clearly well thought out and the product is solidly built. The pieces also can be adjusted to fit any size opening. Great product and the price was very reasonable.

This was really easy to assemble and looks great in our living room. It has wooden slats with metal bars at the connection of each panel. It took me about 30 minutes (reconfiguring three times to get exactly what we wanted) to section off our fireplace and door leading outside so our toddler couldn’t get into trouble. It comes with mounts, drilled a few holes in the wall but no big deal.

Gate to pass through is too narrow for anyone. ESP if a few times a day.
