It's a good thickness and seems sturdy while still soft and it's easy to cut but the adhesion leaves me wondering how long it will last. Got this to use on some step areas on my RV the side step and back bumper area have these foot wells that I wanted something to give me a little slip resistants to and I think they will work just fine. I like the texture and the feel but really needed to weight them and let them sit out a few days to fully lay flat from being rolled for shipping. sticks well, easy to cut to fit, and easy to clean. leaving a heavy weight in one area though leaves a indent, which hasn't disappeared as of yet. I hope this does, and will advise when.

I have not had a chance to install this as of yet. My boat is still winterized and wrapped. I ordered this because I was getting tired of the snap in carpet in my bowrider. I like the fiberglass non skid deck but I bring my dog out on the boat and do a lot of water sports. The deck can get a little slippery even with the textured fiberglass, especially for my dog. I don’t like how the carpet takes too long to dry and that it traps sand in the weave. I trailer and cover my boat when not in use. To prevent high humidity in the boat after washing I would have to remove the carpets and hang them to dry. It’s a tedious and annoying project every time I use the carpet. No more. I decided to give this a try. I plan on using this in the major walkways and possibly the swim platform. This will definitely give everyone good traction and additional cushioning. This looks like teak planks with a black rubberized joint caulking. The same way my dad’s fishing boat is finished with real teak. With multiple colors available you can find this in a color that works with most boat color schemes. It is also easier to clean and dries quickly compared to carpet. I’ll update on performance in a few months once I have some use on this.

Prepped the boat just as the instructions stated. Cleaned thoroughly with rubbing alcohol before installing product. Walked on product to ensure that it would stick securely. We even let it cure out in the hot sun so the “sticky” part on the back could melt. While driving down the lake It started blowing out of the boat !!!! 😳😳😳Purchased a different brand for the boat from a different manufacturer and it’s stuck like glue!Do not buy from this vendor!

What a HUGE disappointment, I was not expecting this product to be made with such low quality material. I would not recommend you to buy this. Look elsewhere.

I saw the EVA foam products at a recent boat show but the prices I was quoted for covering a section of the deck were ridiculous. I decided to order this product and install it myself. The back part of the boat over the inboard engine did not have any coating to prevent slipping when climbing onto the back with wet feet. I used a new box cutter blade to cut the EVA to size after marking the shape. It was a rectangular section without curves so the blade worked fine. After cleaning the deck, I applied the EVA. I have not had a chance to test it in the water yet, but I am sure it will make a big difference to prevent falling. It also looks good unlike carpet or rubber mats which was the reason I avoided using anything till I saw the EVA finished products on other boats.

It came rolled up tightly in plastic and cardboard along with a 2" square piece of tape.  It requires a day in a reversed roll to return to a flat, usable condition.  It should be aired out as well to release lingering manufacturing vapors. The flooring is just as described in the online information.EVA is a stiff spongy material prized for its workability.  It is waterproof and UV resistant.  It is ideal for boat decks. It is also used extensively for movie props, prototypes, and commercial displays because it is durable, flexible, easily cut and joined.  Instructions are not included but ample information is available online.  If an area wider than 16" is to be covered, the included tape is used to join the pieces. This material is designed to simulate aged wood strips.  The principle use is to restore boat walkways previously covered with less durable material.  There are many alternate uses for the decking including model building and costumes. I am going to use the decking to extend my existing non-skid surface and to cushion areas where anchors and chains mar the deck and awaken sleeping crew. Enjoy!Highly Recommended.
