A great Gift for Dad and Mom and Cousin Joe....
First I received this as a gift and while that might have colored my opinion some since I didn’t pay for them I have to say how much I am enjoying them. These are the best bluetooth earbuds by far that I have ever used. The sound beats my other pairs of earbuds both wired and unwired. The battery is fairly long lasting and quick to charge. Details to follow.I tested the earbuds in several real world and simulated tests.Noise canceling testing. I used an old sound soother to give me many different sounds to test against. In all the setting on the soother there was a noticeable improvement when the noise canceling was turned on. In all but sea waves it was totally removed.Next I tried the earbuds at work in the server room and had similar fantastic results. It made the sound disappear completely and I worked the next two days in blessed silence. No constant droning of fans or hard drives for me. I turned on a little music from my phone and listened to some Kenny G in the server room. Made for a nice non stressful day.Next I got home and tried them on the Jackhammer at the end of the street. The construction workers thought I was nuts trying to get my head close to them working, but still as long as they continued to hammer it made a noticeable reduction in noise. I had similar reactions to the jets as they flew over my house. It did not help with the noisy boy child and his yelling while playing video games or complaining about taking out the garbage. But then Leophile are not miracle workers, and there might be some kind of safety problem if you couldn’t hear your kids.Noise Canceling is a 5 out of 5Next was the battery test. I gave the earbuds a full charge. I paired them on my Galaxy S 7 and sat them on the bedside with Weird Al on a constant loop. 12 hours later my phone died. So I hooked them to an old tablet and and 4 hours later it died. So I turned them off went to bed but did not recharge the earbuds. The next day I took them to the store to shop for dinner. After walking around the store for 20 minutes listening to my wife telling me to go get this or that the battery finally ran down. So I reached in my pocket to get the cord so I could test the corded feature…...I had left it in the car. So I didn’t get to test it then and had to finish shopping while holding the phone to my head. She wouldn’t let me just shop by myself.Battery recharged in 2 hours and 20 minutes.Battery 5 out of 5Sound Quality.I do audio as part of my normal day to day job. So I ran a few tests on the headset in my off hours at work and in my computer shop at home. I used test audio from Youtube with set frequencies by Sonic Electronix.Edit: I did a whole bunch of frequency response tests to find out my method didn’t work in the real world due to the ear airspace volume being different from my testing rig, That has been deleted. I will say that the frequency response was different from the sound I was inputting to the headset on the tones I tested with. I had failed to take the amount of air in the ear canal into account.Music testing was with the following songs. All rendered well to my ear.1812 2 minutes to 3 minutesDelicate by Taylor Swift the whole songBatman Theme song from the fox cartoonStar Wars ThemeHall of the Mountain King Apocalyptica Minute 3 to 4:30Memory Cats Musical 2 minutes to 3:52Sound was fantastic for all these songs. I just about blew my ears out on the 1812 overture when the cannons fired, and the high note of Elaine Paige was just fantastic. The Heavy Metal of Apocalyptica was good but if there is a slight flaw in these earbuds it showed up here. And I say IF not was. I am not sure it was a flaw so much as I don’t like heavy metal. All the other songs played well and I enjoyed them.Sound 4.75 out of 5 (updated 5 out of 5)Overall I enjoyed the LEOPHILE ZERO Active Noise Cancelling Neckband except for the only flaw in the neckband. I have a fat neck.. Its 18 and a half inches around. When I first wore the neckband it pressed uncomfortably on my carotid artery. ( I was mistakenly calling it my jugular vein but my wife corrected me) I placed the neckband around a large box for a couple of nights and it loosened up much better than other pairs i have tried. The only better fit for my fat neck is the Eel.The other problem I found was that the noise cancelling seems to be wired straight to the battery and when you turn off the headset it stays on and has to be turned off separately. I’m not sure why they did this it seems a little strange to me.So this book is nearly over and I should some it up by saying Zero is a five star neckband,ProsBattery Life 16 hours mixed use.Sounds good in real world use.Noise Cancelling was the best I have ever had.ConsTight around the Neck on Big Men.Noise Cancelling stays on if turned off by the multifunction button.

Would be close to perfect if they were waterproof
I work as a pressure washer, which means all day long I listen to podcasts and audiobooks to pass the time (and protect my hearing from the loud machines). The Leophile Zero has largely been fantastic, and though I prefer the Leophile Eel ( LEOPHILE EEL Wireless Neckband Headphones Sports IP67 Waterproof, Bluetooth 4.1 Stereo Headset with In-Ear Earbuds Earphones for RUNNING & WORKING - Black ), that's really for one reason alone: my job requires anything I use extensively to be waterproof. If the Zero shared that waterproof feature, it would easily be my go-to set of headphones.I've had it for a while now and I've really come to like it. Something has come loose inside the right side of the neckband, but I only know this because I can hear it rattle if I shake it; it hasn't otherwise affected the function whatsoever. The neckband sits comfortably on my neck, and it's easy to forget that it's even there. I do wish there were some way to secure the headphones when not using them because I'm not a big fan of them dangling over my chest, but that's not a big enough issue to noticeably detract from how much I like it.Battery life has been great for me; I've yet to have it run out on me even when I leave on ANC (active noise cancelling, which does decrease battery life somewhat), and I regularly use it for long stretches at a time, going the entire workday without charging. Audio quality is good too, and people have had no problem hearing me speaking on phone calls, even when I'm standing in the wind atop a roof. This is an improvement over the Eel, because I sometimes got complaints that noisy environments were overpoweringly loud on the other end of the line when using that for phone calls. The buttons are also much easier to use than those on the Eel. That sounds like a little thing, but I often have difficulty feeling the difference between those buttons and end up accidentally pressing the wrong one, but on the Zero they feel much more distinctive and I never have any trouble confidently hitting the one I want. And I've long been a proponent of Bluetooth headphones to eliminate the troublesome cable connection to whatever device you're listening to, but it's fantastic that the Zero comes with a cable that allows you to plug it in to those pesky devices out there that still only accept wired connections (looking at you, Nintendo Switch). I haven't had wired headphones in ages, so it's great not to have to buy a separate pair of wired headphones just to be able to plug in when required to do so.The best feature to me, however, is also the number one reason I wish I could switch to these for my daily use: the noise cancelling. Turning that on doesn't cut out all outside noise, of course, but it makes a notable difference that is particularly significant for me when I'm running loud machinery. The active noise cancellation makes it much easier to hear what I'm listening to without having to crank up the volume to overcome the noise around me, and that goes a long way to save my hearing. That alone makes me wish I could use the Zero every day, but unfortunately I'd quickly wreck it by getting it too wet. The Eel is great for surviving continuous water exposure and has overall been a great headset for me, but now that I've tried the Zero I feel spoiled by the noise cancelling. Still, most people don't work in water all day, so this is unlikely to be a common issue.
