These are really good shelves.Very pleased with them.

I thought that the shelves were solid wood, they’re not. They are heavy duty particle board. I bought 3 units two in the picture and one we made two lower shelves out of. One for often used tools and one as a laundry folding table.Assembly was pretty easy with 2 people. The packages when delivered are very heavy. We actually had to wait an extra day for the 3 rd shelf because the box ripped and they had to Redbox it for delivery.Overall, I’m very happy with the purchase and love them!

These shelves seem to be of great quality - steel frame with particleboard shelves. They are easy to assemble and took me about 30 minutes to do it by myself. The only extra tool I needed was a hammer to get the frames into place. They are sturdy enough to hold garage items or to use for basement storage. There was a tiny wobble when I first assembled but once I got some weight on the shelves they've been just fine. I have since bought 2 more.

These shelves have transformed my garage from a jumble to fairly neat. They can be used as two short shelves or one tall one. I have three units and use them both as long and short. They can be assembled by one person, but it is easier with two. I used a rubber hammer to knock the shelf brackets in place.There is one downside. The cross-members are pretty light and the boards are of a light particle board. If you are a bit rough when adding items to a shelf, the cross members can bend out enough for the boards to drop through. It seems like the shelves are more stable when they are well laden than when only a few items are one them. Now that I am aware of the problem, it is okay.

Great storage shelves at a very good price.Some other reviewers seem to be complaining about the sturdiness of the particle boards provided. All I can say is that for us these shelves are easily holding 100lb-160lb per shelf and no sign of strain at all.We don't need them to hold 200lb per shelf but I'm quietly confident that they could.The first unit took me (who am not so good at reading the simple instructions) over half an hour to figure out and assemble. Adding the top half was the trickiest part. By the fourth unit, total assembly time was around 10 minutes.The reason I saw these reviews is that I'm back to order a couple more. Replacing miscellaneous flimsy shelves in our offsite storage area with these excellent ones.I highly recommend them.

Purchased 3 "muscle rack" 5 tier shelves. The couplers were not included in any of the 3 kits purchased. The instructions show that they aren't included. The instructions also state that 4 couplers are needed for proper installation before adding the top half.These shelves are a safety hazard if assembled without the couplers. The couplers are needed for the distance of each level that I had planned.Previously purchased racks with wire shelving and wanted to try out the wooden shelves. Not what I was expecting!Moved my whole garage in preparation of assembling the racks along one wall. Now if I need something I'm going to have to climb over everything that we moved. Will have to wait a couple of days to settle this with the seller or Amazon.Clearly not as advertised and a safety hazard.

As someone who stores a lot of canned food, toiletries, cleaning supplies, these shelves are perfect. They are extremely sturdy and fully capable for prepping.

This is the third shelving unit I have purchased from Edsal and I am very satisfied. This last set was missing the post couplers, but Edsal customer service responded to my email within an hour (on a Saturday) and is sending me the four (4) little couplers. I would give them 5 stars for customer service alone.
