Excellent quality, holding up to teeth, easy to fit
The media could not be loaded. These gems have been all the rage during 2020 fly season in IL, and I finally picked up a pair for my itchy beast. She has sweet itch bad and has chewed through multiple sets of fly boots. I was skeptical that she would leave these alone or at least not be able to destroy them in the last few weeks of summer. She wears them 24/7 and so far so good! At first, she walked like a cat in boots and gave me the most confused, hurt look I've ever seen like I'd put shackles around her ankles. She forgave me in 5 minutes and followed me around again like the pocket pony I know and love. I think the best feature is the fact that they're loose around the whole lower leg, so the contact of the boot isn't adding to her skin irritation like clothing rubbing over a mosquito bite. I bought them for $52 for 4 -- I've seen them elsewhere as high as $101 for 2, which is outrageous. Worth finding them as a full set for sure and even as low as $48.

Single best horse purchase this year. BUY THEM.
This is the best horse item I bought this year. I ended up buying 6 pair, a set for all the horses, and a set for a goat. They are amazing. The horses are much calmer, they stand like statues for my farrier, he noticed a Huge difference in their hooves after using them all summer. I ride a lot, I notice my main horses don't seem as stressed out or have nearly the leg fatigue as the pre boot years.Using these boots every day, from mid June to October, scrubbing them with a horse brush and cold water as needed, you will need to buy new every year. The felt wears out around the bottom cuff, and the rigid seams wear thin.BUY THEM IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR HORSES MENTAL HEALTH AND GENERAL WELL-BEING.

First time buyer and I’m thoroughly impressed!!!
This was my first time ever buying fly boots and I was super skeptical. How does a $50 baggy tube protect from flies??? I don’t know and I don’t care because I LOVE these boots!!! I’ve had them for about two weeks now and for the first week, my mare kept biting onto them and pulling them off. Keep in mind, she had to pull HARD to get them off because of how sticky the Velcro is. I was super worried she was going to wind up shredding them. They still look new! The durability of these things is insane! Not to mention my mare lives outside 24/7. She is finally leaving them on (I think she realized how much they help) and I’m super impressed with how well the boots work. Absolutely no flies where the boots are and she’s soooo much more comfortable with them. 10/10 would recommend!

Better than fitted brands!
I previously bought fly boots that were fitted, thinking they would do better for fly protection. However, sand from turnout would collect around the fetlock. I can’t be sure, but irritation from that may have been what caused my horse’s bout of cellulitis. An eventing trainer told me all her horses wear this brand 24/7 and she’s sold on them. (Her horses are kept on full turnout), I have been very pleased so far. No sand buildup and the open tops seem to be fine. They stay up and withstand my itchy fellow trying to bite through them. He’s pretty tough on anything used for turnout due to allergies. (My other horse’s fly boots still look brand new by comparison. Definitely recommend.

Worth every penny
These are the best you can buy to protect your horse’s legs from flies. The first set I bought lasted two years before looking really beat up. No twisting/slouching/bunching like you get from brands that make fly boots that mimic the shape of the horse’s leg. Easy to clean - just spray off with a horse or rub with a brush. And the Velcro is ridiculously strong. Never lost one in the field!

Fly free and super colorful!
I have an OTTB who is driven absolutely bonkers by flies. Last year, this triggered significant weight loss and a major ulcer treatment. I've tried a variety of different styles and brands and IMO, the shoo-fly boots are without a doubt the very best for us. She wears her boots 24/7. Shoo Flies are durable- every other style and brand if not destroyed, were looking raggedy well before the end of the season even though they were in rotation with other styles. Shoo Flys may have bleached out a little in the sun, but have otherwise been indestructible. We also appreciate the loose fit that doesn't ever seem to rub on her legs (which is why I had to have other brands in rotation). One caveat- It did take her a little bit to adapt to the hind boots even though she'd worn other styles on her hind legs before... the first time she flew backwards, trembling and totally freaked out. So I used the shoo flies only on the front for a bit (and another brand behind). After a while, I rotated the ones I'd used in front to her back legs and she was absolutely fine. Who knows? maybe she didn't like the stiffness of the new ones or maybe she was just having a bad day? It is all good now and she wears only these... 24/7, front and back.Oh, yes. Really great color options too. If one ever does fall off in the pasture (which hasn't happened yet), these bright pink ones will be easy to find. And everyone else at the barn enjoys the cool color too!

Buy these- stop looking.
I bought these in September 2019. The stay up and are durable. I like that they are sold in a set of 4. I love that they don't wrap closley around the legs so they can't bind or cause ventilation issues. (My horse bowed his tendon). They stay on and don't fall off. They are great- the only complaint I have is a couple months after wearing them, the middle seam is coming undone on one and the black bias tape at the bottom edge by the Coronet band is worn through. Overall, they are much better than prochoice, Kensington and tough1 brand and I would get them again.

Don’t bother looking at any other fly boots! These are the best
The BEST fly boots ever. My horse is an aggressive and ridiculously frequent stomper. I was afraid he’d turn himself lame from stomping so much and so hard. He is a 16hh QH and the medium size fits him great. The stomping has decreased by 90%, seriously. Super easy to clean off. He does not mind them at all. He has super sensitive skin and the boots haven’t rubbed him AT ALL, nor does he sweat in them. I have had them for about 6 weeks and the Velcro is lifting barely on the corners but that could be my laziness so I won’t take a star away. I was hesitant because of the price initially, but well worth it. The color options are good and you can easily spot them in the pasture. These are amazing and I will continue to buy them forever.

Protection That Actually Works
Use these leg protectors for my horse to keep bugs from biting. Surprised at how well they work. They stay up, dont rub on my horses legs and keep bugs away. Just as good as some of the more expensive brands and saves constantly using bug spray on horses legs.
