This handle is sturdy built and easy to install. Gives a great look with a functional safety device. The safety bar is manufactured from stainless steel that is great for damp locations without rusting.

Product will do for my needs; however, it was supposed to be 1.5 inches in diameter but it wasn't. The paper that came with it even says it is 1 inch. I would have liked to have the thicker handle as it was supposed to have been.

I ordered a20 inch and received a18 inch bar. Other than that it was fine.

On the surface this is a decent quality handle as far as materials and traditional design. What I don't like about it is what's underneath. The handle is not welded to the base plate, but rather, bolted. Two reasons for not liking that are 1)If the bolt loosens in time (it has not thread lock, mechanical or liquid) you would have to unscrew the handle from the wall in order to tighten the bolt. 2) Water penetration. It may be knit picking but I have seen showers and tub bases/walls rot out due to crazier things. Moving on, I also do not like the design of said base plate as it is cup shaped rather than a flat flange. This cup is sharp on the wall side as the rim of the cup is what contacts the wall. There is little surface to apply a sealant to, to prevent water penetration. Lastly, compared to other options, this handle is crude in its finish. It is not rough per say , but full of random scratches from wire brushing. Final words, If this was the last handle available, would I feel safe letting my 80 year old mother use it? Sure, it beats a broken hip any day and all month. BUT....There are other better options out there for you to look at, go for those. I'm going to use this one on my tractor, it will look fancy and give me a grip !2/5 stars and a 👎🏻
