The taste and efficacy of glutathione
Taste of this product (Lab Verified 500mg Liquid Liposomal Glutathione).I did not purchase this product for beverage use. Therefore, I do not consider the taste of this product to be important. However, the taste of this product, “sour taste with a slight sulfur smell” is not a good taste at all. This taste seems to be a common taste among products that normally contain a good amount of glutathione. This product appears to be the most cost-effective liquid glutathione product. It is the cheapest among similar glutathione products, so I have been taking it for 5 months.I started taking glutathione four years ago, but the liquid product is expensive, so I have been taking the product in tablet, capsule, and powder form.I have been taking only this product since I found out about it in November of last year.Of course, this is completely my personal opinion, but I only take this product now because I know the difference between taking glutathione and not taking it.Other liquid glutathione products are overpriced despite being of equal or inferior quality.I hope everyone who purchases it stays healthy...

No taste at all…
Not sure why so many bad reviews on taste and smell.I honestly use a dropper and leave under tongue for 30 secs then swallow no problem…I also use magnesium drops at night and that actually tastes awful and salty…Just started taking glutathione, haven’t noticed anything yet.

SMELLS TERRIBLE!
I bought this with the impression that it would smell and taste like mixed berries. When I removed the product from the package I got a whiff of something foul. I was alone, so I knew the smell wasn't coming from me. I was confused because the bottle showed no sign of damage or leaks. Most products are completely sealed, so I still didn't think the smell was coming from the supplement. As I took the plastic seal off the lid, the smell became a little more prominent. I took the plastic, white lid off and was met with a wrenching smell. The top, inner seal is ventilated, so I was literally smelling the supplement. It smells like sulfur or rotten eggs. I refuse to take this supplement but I can't return it through Amazon. I'm currently in the process of talking to support. I hope I can get a refund.

Not sure if it’s working yet
It is very stinky which is a good sign. The sulfur smell tells me it’s potent. I mix is with grape juice and you can’t even tell, actually tastes like gummy bears.

It hurts my gut when I take it
I used the Quicksilver Scientific version under doctor's care and needed a more cost effective product. Unfortunately this product hurts my gut each time I take it. I am stopping this one because 1. It smells bad, 2. it hurts my gut 3. I have stomach and intestinal upset for a couple of hours after. It's not for me.

Tart berry flavor makes this easy to take; reputable brand
This is something I was interested in trying for multiple reasons. Glutathione is depleted as we age and also especially after a fun night with friends enjoying adult beverages. The recommended dose on the bottle is 4mL, which is almost a teaspoon. A teaspoon, for reference, is 5mL, and would have 625mg. Also, make sure to refrigerate after opening and use within 45 days. This is supposed to be a bioavailable form (although the study by the cellg8 liposomal manufacturer is too small to make solid conclusions), which is important because glutathione is quickly digested. The taste for me was pretty decent, with an initial tart berry taste (I tend to like tart flavors). I'm not a huge fan of stevia, but as long as I washed it down, it didn't linger too long. The company that makes this supplement has been around since 2013, so one positive is that they aren't a fly-by-night company, and they seem committed to trying to provide decent quality products. They claim to have 3rd party testing, and they have a link to see the batch results (lot numbers are on the bottom of the bottle), although they manually input it on the website vs show the actual report from the 3rd party lab (so there are actually some mistakes when I looked at their manual entry - oops). They really should show the actual lab reports to eliminate data entry errors, but few companies show the 3rd party data on their websites in a way that can be verified, so Toniq is not out of line with the industry. You can contact them to request the 3rd party results. In a test on October 2021, another manufacturer found in two tests (one their own, and one by a disclosed 3rd party) that Toniq's 500mg capsule contained slightly less than the stated 500mg (the 3rd party result, not the competitor, obtained a value of 96% of the stated product). Hopefully they have improved their process since then to include the full amount stated, but at least they were close. Toniq didn't exceed lead limits as did some other brands, so this is something they seem to do well. Some people could have an allergic reaction, so watch out for signs of that. I fortunately experienced no ill effects from this supplement.I feel this is an above average supplement brand, and I'd probably give it 4.5 stars, but I rounded up since supplements are really so iffy, and I think you are getting what you pay for or very close to it with this one.

I don't know!
The taste is horrible, the smell is worse. It says take on an empty stomach, but since taking I have had negative urine results and my doctor was pushing antibiotics on me. I stopped using this and no negative urine lab results.I think if it smells bad, it probably is bad. It's your body's way of telling you no.
