I need a series or movie ASAP ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
KILLERS OF A CERTAIN AGE is the Golden Girls meets Assassins. The assassins: Billie, Mary Alice, Helen and Natalie have spent forty years working as world-class assassins and are now facing retirement. They soon realize that someone has put out a hit on their lives. Stuffing their fanny packs with knitting needles, detonators, poison syringes, and knives, they set off to find out who's behind their kill order. The result is an absolute wild ride!

Totally New for Deanna Raybourn
Deanna has been my favorite writer since I first found Lady Julia Grey and read every book in the series. Then I met Veronica Speedwell and Stoker……the new ones take too long to come out……I’ve read the singles. I loved them all. What grips me with all her books is Deanna’s writing rhythm, the pacing of the story and the vivid descriptors. Often the tempo is brooding and intense. I find myself inside the story in no time. Now, a new style, I found myself searching for the Deanna Raybourn I know and love but it felt off. Did someone else write this book? It was unsettling. Several chapters in, I began to find the writer I love. There has always been an irreverence in her characters who struggle against society norms. Why would these vigilante-like assassin characters be conformists? There is more depth in this new book…challenge and frustration but Deanna gives us what we all want…..to be empowered against helplessness in a world full of injustice. It just is in an unusual package. Can’t wait for more Deanna! You never let us down.

exciting, fast-paced and well written
I loved this book. It was exciting, fast-paced and well written. I read it in one day - couldn’t put it down. The flashbacks were well done. There is still more I’d love to know - what is Minka’s backstory? Do Billie and Travener get their happy ending? But even if this is the only book it was satisfying.

Such a fun read
I loved this book. The characters were great, the realities of age and the passage of time perfectly combined with a really good tale. I hope there is another book, or 2 or 3, to come. Great characters!

Pure fast-moving fun
What a bunch! A group of, well, killers of a certain age is about to retire. Instead, they spend most of the book avoided getting killed by their questionable employer and finally turn the tables on those who wanted them gone. Fast-paced, not gory, showcases older women getting to take action, and so on. Sometimes it was hard to tell the characters apart, and conversely other times the author seemed to be giving them each a few hallmarks. Don't expect too much and you'll enjoy this one a lot.

Great fun!
It was a clever, funny thriller with a group of post-menopausal assassins for protagonists. It worked. It would be a good movie as well.

An entertaining read
Bought this on a recommendation from a friend and really enjoyed it. Irreverent, entertaining, and what a nice change to have these four older women as the lead characters. The characterisation was a bit basic though we got just a little more on Billie than the other three... but it was a fun read.

My new favourite
It’s wonderful to read a book with mature female characters killing it. Literally. I can’t wait to read more of Deanna’s work.

Enjoyable romp; old ladies for the win!
This is so well written, with engaging characters and a convoluted plot, that I was completely immersed, despite not usually enjoying any book with graphic or frequent killing.

Great old ladies
This is a great, unlikely, rollicking story. You find yourself sympathising with killers, cheering them on. And I love the unanswered question at the end.. Hope the sequel is as good.
