This item works really really well. It does exactly what it is supposed to do and prevents me from having to get my Switchbot down fom a high window to charge it. I don't find it a good enough value to put one on each curtain I have but for openers that ar used high up or on curtains thay re kind of awkward to get to, this is a fantastic product. Though the directions assume you already know how to use it, it really is just a "plug and go" type of deal.

Great product, to avoid the need to charge the battery

I have big windows above my backyard door that I've been meaning to put curtains on, but because they are not easily accessible, automating it is necessary. Another important thing is to be able to charge it with solar due to its place. Switchbot curtain meet those requirements, while not require any maintenance. Setting it up with the app is very easy, and it's able to configure both curtains as one. I've also integrated it with home assistant to automatically open and close at sunrise and sundown. You can also do this with the Switchbot app. I've had it running for about 3 weeks now, and the battery stay charged at about 90%. Not sure why it doesn't go higher but it does the job. The only complain I have is the noise, due to my house's layout, I can hear it in every corner of my house. Something to keep in mind if you're putting it in a bedroom. There's quiet mode too if you can't stand it.

Keeps my auto curtain charged way longer than without it. Not much direct sun on mine and it still keeps the charge way longer.

These are nice little solar panels to power your curtain bot. They are USB-C, and super easy to use out of the box; just plug them in. Except when they stop working. Which seems to be fairly often. The listing says these have had a "Performance upgrade". Oddly enough, it's those two that died within 6 weeks. My older ones have mostly just kept going. I'm not sure why, but after a few months, some of these go bad - even the older versions. But then others last a few years, and still others I've never had to replace. I wish they would work on stabilizing these instead of constantly coming out with new robot models. Amazon is hinting that I need to also mention the noise level and value for money on these. I think these are a little pricey, but if you can get them on sale, go for it. And Amazon, solar panels do not make any noise.

Update: I've discovered how to keep these things working on my large curtain rod, and am therefore updating my review to be a bit more charitable. My curtains are grommet style, and the metal rings slide across a completely flush (effectively one-piece) 8ft rod. After a few weeks they become weak and unreliable- I thought because the calibration was messed up, but in reality I just needed to wipe down and lubricate the rod with WD-40. (but not too much, you don't want it slippery) My room has an over-sized air purifer in it and really doesn't gather much dust, however if I let any build up the friction between the grommits and the rod quickly become too much for these motors to overcome. I hope that the manufacturer might include that as a tip for people who run into my issue because it seems relatively common online, people point to calibration issues but in reality as long as you stay on top of maintanence and keep your curtain rods completely clean (and a little lubricated) they function great. I wouldn't hate to see an even more powerful motor in the next iteration, but for now I'm happy. original review: I bought the curtain 2's for my 8ft wide window a few years ago and they never quite were reliable enough to fully close both of my light weight blackout curtains. Was hoping these would be better, and they were, for a couple of months. Now they're just as useless and frusterating as the 2's were. My curtains are thin and light enough that light actually penetrates through them, despite being sold as "blackout" curtains. My heavier pair definitely wasn't going to cut it for this product. I've invested quite a lot of time and money trying to make these products work with different weights of curtains, different rods, and now a whole different generation of products. I was hoping buying a new curtain rod that doesnt have the telescoping ridge in the center (its on the sides, completely flush for 90% of the rod, a support in the middle, and the newer version with upgraded motors they would be powerful enough to reliably close my curtains. They were for a little while, but now no matter how many times I recalibrate them, they stop short of closing my curtains. The magnets make no difference. They will fully close during calibration, but immediately afterwards they give up and leave a 1-2ft wide gap in the middle. If you want these, stick to a window thats 5 ft wide or shorter. They're simply not powerful enough for larger tracks, and if they are it wont last long. I really wish these products were stronger because I love the concept, its just been a massive dissapointment and an even bigger waste of money.

J'ai récemment fait l'acquisition du Curtain SwitchBot 3, couplé au Hub 3, au panneau solaire et à la télécommande. Et je dois dire que l'ensemble est une véritable réussite. ​Points forts : ​Installation d'une simplicité enfantine : J'ai pu tout installer en moins de 15 minutes sans aucune difficulté. Le manuel est clair et les tutoriels vidéo sur le site de SwitchBot sont très utiles. ​Performance et silence : Les SwitchBot 3 sont incroyablement silencieux. Mes rideaux s'ouvrent et se ferment de manière fluide et discrète, même le matin, je n'entends rien. La puissance du moteur est largement suffisante pour des rideaux assez lourds. ​Le Hub 3 : Le cerveau de la maison connectée : C'est la pièce maîtresse du système. Il permet de contrôler les rideaux à distance, de créer des scénarios (ouvrir les rideaux au lever du soleil, les fermer à la tombée de la nuit) et de les intégrer avec d'autres appareils intelligents (Alexa, Google Home). Il est très réactif et n'a jamais déconnecté. ​Le panneau solaire : Une autonomie illimitée : C'est un accessoire indispensable ! Plus besoin de se soucier de recharger les SwitchBot 3. Le panneau solaire assure une alimentation constante, même par temps nuageux. C'est un confort absolu et un vrai plus pour l'environnement. ​La télécommande : Praticité et simplicité : Bien que l'application soit excellente, j'apprécie la présence de la télécommande. C'est parfait pour les personnes qui ne sont pas toujours avec leur smartphone, ou simplement pour un contrôle rapide et simple sans avoir à chercher son téléphone. ​En conclusion : ​Ce combo SwitchBot est un investissement que je ne regrette absolument pas. Il est pratique, fiable, silencieux et offre un vrai confort au quotidien. C'est la solution idéale pour quiconque souhaite motoriser ses rideaux de manière simple et efficace. Le Hub 3 et le panneau solaire sont des compléments indispensables qui rendent l'expérience encore plus fluide et agréable. Je recommande ce produit les yeux fermés !

Het idee van onbeperkt batterij is geweldig, maar mijn kozijnen zijn bovenaan te dik. Waardoor er een stuk schaduw op mijn panelen valt. Deze geeft dan niet voldoende spanning om op te laden. Dit heb ik na 3-4 maanden na aankoop gecontsteerd. De klantenservice heeft mij gecontacteerd over dit probleem en eerder geschreven review. Ze hebben aangeboden om het aankoopbedrag terug te storten. Natuurlijk kan ik niet achterblijven. Ik steun ze uiteraard: Switchbot heeft een ultragoede aftercare en klantenservice. Dat is voor mij enorm veel waard. Chapeu voor hen!

El producto vino en excelentes condiciones. La utilidad es baja pues si para cargar tienes que cerrar las cortinas… para que las quieres de día abiertas… qué haces, que las abres de noche? Para qué entonces motorizar unas cortinas…. Siento que he tirado, en mi caso el,dinero.
