This documentary chronicles the life of J. Robert Oppenheimer, a renowned physics professor at UC Berkeley. Known for leading the Los Alamos Lab during WWII and creating the atomic bomb, Oppenheimer's journey from his early years to his contributions in nuclear physics and subsequent advocacy for nuclear weapon control is explored. The film features fresh interviews and insights from acquaintances and those impacted by his legacy, touching on his famous quote from witnessing the first atomic bomb detonation in 1945โฆโNow I am become Death, the destroyer of the worldsโ. Review: A Very interesting yet quite sad film - I saw this, at the cinema, and am looking forward to re-watching it- a bit more Slowly. There is a great deal 'Going On' at once. Highly Recommended. Review: Probably the worst documentary I've watched for a long time - This could have been a really interesting documentary, but wasn't. Oppenheimer's life was interesting and certainly included psychological/behavioural issues that many of those of 'genius' status display, but this wasn't brought out. It was formed of endless unstructured interviews with authors (Prof Ray was particularly poor) who waffled on about how wonderful Oppenheimer was. The documentary lacked good writing, any form of Directorship and content of any substantive depth. Very disappointing. I'm rather annoyed to have paid to watch it!

An interesting overview
I mistakenly thought this was the current film. So was slightly disappointed to find that it wasn't. However it turned out to be extremely interesting with testimony from people who knew him throughout his life. Pre and post the atomic bomb. Probably useful to have seen it before watching the film itself. The sound quality was variable throughout.

Wether it is good or bad
I liked this video very much and thoroughly recommend it

OPPENHEIMER
A brilliant film justifying all it's awards but it was spoilt by the almost incessant loud and completely unnecessary background music which drowned out most of the voicetrack.

A very interesting insight into the man
Not to be confused with the latest movie this more of a factual/ observational account of Oppenheimer the man from those who have researched him or new him

Very interesting
Quite an incendiary topic, presented in a dry manner. We found it fascinating.
