Alpaca fiber has a naturally wonderful handle, a soft and comforting feel that you can wear next to your skin. Alpaca is warmer and stronger than the fiber of other mammals, light weight, and quite water resistant. Yocum-McCall Testing Laboratories has shown alpaca to be three times warmer than sheep's wool. And it really is 3 times warmer than a wool blanket, plus it almost has the feel of silk. I am so glad I found this product!

The throw is generously sized good for curling up on the sofa or while sitting in your favorite chair watching TV. It is surprisingly light weight, but is very warm and comfortable even when indoor temperatures dip into mid 60's. I purchased the off white, and while the color is perfect for my uses, I would caution for those who are afraid of spills, etc. as they are more difficult to launder than simply throwing into a washing machine. This said, I would purchase again.

Nice, warm, thin blanket that is well made. It’s a little thicker and rougher in texture than another alpaca blanket we have, but overall it is still very nice.

I got his in brown first but the color was off. The yellow worked much better Very high quality. Comfortable.

Item was far too thin. I was cold laying underneath it. Do not recommend to other buyers.

Here's the plan: Next time a friend is over for Netflix, I'll turn down the heat. Then when he mentions that he's chilly, I'll offer him this throw. An expression of sheer delight will appear on his face and he will say, "Now THAT'S how you treat a guest!"The throw is huggingly soft, and warm without the weight. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the washing instructions. The description said "washable," so I was picturing throwing it in the washer. They actually want you to hand wash and dry flat. That's fine for a sweater, but I will have to get creative finding a space large enough for the "dry flat" part. Ideally they’d like you to dry clean it.

I absolutely loved this throw. Think buttery soft. Perfect size and weight, but the color wasn’t quite what I needed. I ordered the same throw in light grey and love it! Worth the price.

We have an expensive smaller Alpaca throw that we love..Super-fine and super-soft.We wanted a larger and somewhat thicker Alpaca throw.Big enough that we could use as a throw top-blanket on a bed on cold nights.This is exactly what we were looking for:Larger, thicker and warmer than the smaller throw.Not as super-fine and super-soft as the smaller throw.But still very smooth and soft — actually better suited for use as a throw top blanket.i am just now ordering a second one for another bed.
