We have three of these mattress foundations at our cottage and they are great! Fairly easy to put together once you figure out the numbering system. Of course, constructing foundation numbers 2 and 3 was way easier to do once number 1 was done and the numbering system was clear to me. The foundation feels solid and there are no squeaky bits as you move around in the bed. Would buy again.

I NEVER write a product review but always look at others when considering a product and felt compelled to provide one to Zinus because they simply deserve it. I searched all over town for a new full size box spring for my 10 year old son's convertible "crib to bed" as we had a great mattress but the boxspring was a bunkie board made of wood (1x 2's) and literally a flat piece of cardboard. Every time he turned in bed, jumped on bed, parents were in bed reading etc., the bed was the loudest bed I have ever heard and it finally drove me to insanity. My search began with the retail mattress stores as well as Costco (big fan!) etc. No one had them in stock and it would be deliverable in two weeks, couldn't tell me a price, horrible customer service and the list goes on and on. I got tired of the hunt and thought I'd try Amazon.com with zero expectations of even finding one. I quickly found several companies offering box springs and settled in on the options that Zinus offered and did my research. I chose the metal version and paid. two days later it was at my front door and twenty minutes later I had it put together and my son even assisted me. One box, makes ZERO noise, quick assembly, awesome support for mattress, perfect fit (I did measure his bed frame etc. prior to purchasing), lightweight but solid, incredibly strong, and only around $95.00 total. Kudos to Zinus for a fantastic product and know that my next box spring will be purchased from you!

Had never heard of a box spring that is not made from wood. At first, I was skeptical to order a box spring from steel. My skepticism then got slightly worse when I read some negative reviews about "OHM, it takes too long to assemble!" Being an engineer and an optimist upon reading majority of great reviews, I went ahead and placed an order for queen box spring. Not only it arrived in time but it was also well-packed. It is heavy and you will need 2 people to carry the box from outside to your bedroom. Once I unopened the box, I was surprised to find the individual pieces tied up in groups based where they all go. Every single piece is numbered and lettered. A piece numbered "1" connects to another piece numbered "1", numbered "2" connects with another numbered "2". Very simple and easy. The kit also comes with tools. The part breakdown is as per below: A (inner long rail) = 2 B (inner short rail) = 1 C (outer short rail) = 2 D (outer long rail-1) = 2 E (outer long rail-2) = 2 F (Slats) = 10 S (shortest screws) = 8 M (mid-length screws) = 4 L (long screws) = 2 H (nuts) = 10 The best advice is that open the box, remove the cable ties, lay out all parts on floor as per the intended connection and get an idea of who connects to who (without actually assembling). It is otherwise called a "raw" or a "draft" assembly". Once it is done, it takes 30 minutes MAX to connect all components. I then put the cover on it and zipped it up. Voila, it was now ready to be placed on the bed. The moment of truth was moments away. My daughter and I lifted it up and placed it on her queen bed. It fit perfectly. We then put the mattress and lied down on it. It is very sturdy and does not squeak upon rolling. Overall, it is very strong and affordable. Here is the best part. It can be unassembled and moved to another place much easily (than the traditional wood box spring). I highly recommend it. Buy it with full confidence!

I am impressed with this box-spring. The quality of the build is excellent, and the craftsmanship impressed me. Years ago I delivered furniture, having put together many different types of furniture, beds etc. I have seen some alternative box-springs and whatnot, but this takes the cake. Unlike a traditional box-spring made with wood, this is not going to wear down over time and squeak due to the grip of the nails in the wood (a common issue with squeaking in construction). First, assembly took me about 20 minutes, and I didn't even need the instructions. I was able to put this together easily by myself and move it by myself as well. The parts are marked "up" conveniently where you might go astray in the build, and it stays together well enough before adding the bolts/nuts so that one person can do it alone, provided you do it on a flat surface such as the floor. I love that this boxspring can come apart too, if anyone needs to get it into a tight area (the worst part of a bed delivery, imo is the box-spring as it cannot bend/fold). I have gone from a two part box spring for a queen mattress down to this and it makes NO sound whatsoever. Craftsmanship is excellent, and the parts fit together like a glove. The "slats" are not attached by screws, rather just sitting in place, but they are wedged in place and do not move out of place. Only weak spot I thought of was having the zipper face down so that the zipper part of it sits on frame (thus possibly cracking the zipper or its mechanism) but the zipper comes toward the center of the box-spring far enough to clear the side boards of my bed, so I will have to see if the zipper takes damage over time from the downward pressure. Certainly not going to knock anything for that. Edit: Dec 1, 2017: This is still absolutely quiet and no squeaks at all over the past couple months. Really highly recommend this box spring to anyone looking for a lifelong keeper. Edit: July, 2019: Still a perfect boxspring! Edit: July 2024: Still a perfect boxspring!

My husband and I were super hesitant to get these at first even though there were so many great reviews. They arrived quickly and were extremely well packaged. The price was good too. We purchased 2 twin xLs for our king bed instead of the king version. Worked perfectly! Super super easy to put together. Super easy to put the fabric cover on and zip it up (don’t know why others have complained about that part). Have had about a month now and no problems at all. Will highly recommend this to anyone looking for an alternative to the old fashioned box springs. Wish I had this when I lived in a century old house years ago when I couldn’t get a queen box spring up the stairs. This sure woulda been handy to have back then. Judging by the way the pieces came packaged and the detailed items (stationary/thank you cards) in the box, it looks like this company really cares. Wouldn’t hesitate to purchase again from them in future.
