Assembly was easy, all nuts/bolts were included. The bottom part that you can sit on is a smidge heavy, but the ability to just pop your hoop in, tighten it down and get to work makes it a 5-star product to me. It does fit other hoops as well as Nurge. It's sturdy; my cat can't knock it over. Overall amazing stand!

After reading some reviews that this doesn’t hold all Nurge hoops and doesn’t stay tight, I was hesitant to order this floor stand. I’ve been very happy with my Nurge hoops, so I’m glad I decided to see for myself if this product is of the same quality. I needed to give my hand a rest from holding my hoop, and this has helped immensely. The stand is heavy enough to stay put with a nice, wide base, but it’s not so heavy that I can’t easily move it aside when I’m ready to get up from my stitching chair. With the number of joints it has to adjust, I found it easy to find the configuration that fits perfectly with my chair and my body. I wondered how it would be to flip to the back side of my project to bury and trim my threads. It is no problem at all. I don’t find it necessary to make the very top adjustment extra tight. My hoop stays in place, while I’m still able to easily flip it up for those purposes. I think this is an excellent stand, especially for the price difference compared with some of the other popular floor stands.

This thing is worth every penny! It’s stable, well made, and infinitely adjustable. You can even twist your hoop to the back side without removing it from the clamp. It’s been over 40 years since I did any embroidery, and this stand is a real game changer for me. It’s so much easier to stitch when both of my hands are free. If you’re looking for a table & lap stand, this is the one to buy!!!

This is a very good stand for cross stitching or hoop embroidery. I put it together quickly and it’s very sturdy. Helps me to stitch faster. The box it came in though was very messed up, dented and ripped. Luckily, the stand wasn’t damaged but more care should be taken with the packaging.

These are quality stands at affordable prices. I originally purchased the floor stand which was a big help to me with my embroidery but had issues with it not being able to rotate the hoop to the back side. I wound up buying this table stand (for parts) with the fully functional clamp which rotates 360 to the back for tying off threads. I used the parts to reassemble the floor stand with this feature. It was quite easy to reassemble the parts. I don't understand why the company doesn't have this fully functional clamp standard on all their embroidery stands. All in all, I'm happy with the conversion and quality of these hoop stands. Edited on 3/22/2026 to include photo of conversion. 3/27/2026. It’s sturdy, well-balanced, and the natural wood actually looks nice on my desk. Assembly was straightforward. The adjustability is what makes it worth the price. You can tilt, rotate, and move it around to find the perfect angle — huge relief for your neck and shoulders if you stitch for hours like I do. Only downside: the clamp might not grip very thin hoops tightly without a bit of tweaking. But once you find the sweet spot, it stays put. If you do any serious cross-stitching or embroidery, this thing will make your life easier. Feels like a professional upgrade over balancing the hoop on your knee. Good value and size, nice fit to my desk.

NO Rotation of the hoop. I was deceived by the arrows in the photograph and that's on me. I need a hoop that can rotate to the back side of my bead/sequin work to tie knots. This one is stable. While the quality of construction and stability is very good, it will not allow you to flip, swivel or rotate. The large adjustment knots are appreciated and secure tightly.

I bought this for my needlepoint. It works really well for needlepoint canvas. You can also by longer rods to make it wider - I have ordered the longer rods, although they haven't arrived yet. But the frame and rods as sold are great for needlepoint. Easy to set up and attach your canvas to the frame as well.

It does not let square frames or q snaps to fit

Awesome stand for cross-stitch! Love it! Tried it for mill hill frames (had to remove the springs to fit it) and nurge plastic hoops, works great. Can be adjusted to any sitting position whether to sit at the table or on the couch.

It holds your q snap, hoops and nurdge perfectly. Works good sitting down and on table. I like it better than lowery.
