I've used this a few timeseconds and I can say it does a great job for my Springfield XD 40 service model. Would get this again. The only thing is that the cleaning solvent/ lubricant bottle came with a cap and on the picture it shows a nozzle cap. Little bummed out about it but still works great.

Great started kit for .40 cal handgun owners, use this in my gun bag to take to the range, has everything you need to make sure your gun is properly cleaned and cared for after a day at the range. Good price on the product as well! The box isn't the best in the world for sure, but I keep mine in a gun bag, and helps keep it protected during transport.

Durable coated rod, DO NOT USE ON YOUR RIFLE! The end does swivel but I have mini vise grips if I need it stiff. Patches are even better quality than the Hoppe's 500 pack I bought. Nylon brush will be your best friend.So what it comes in a plastic case, if you're buying a cleaning kit because it comes in a fancy case go spend $250 you'll get this kit in a fancy box!

Good kit with almost everything you need to clean your gun. Comes in a great convenient case that makes it really portable. Lots of oil so it will last a long time (less the cotton swabs). If you're looking for a good gun cleaning kit in one package look no further!

It has lasted me a while after numerous cleanings. I would say it lasted more than the life expectancy for the brushes. I still have plenty of oil. Great started kit.

I think this is a great product at a very low price. Less than twenty bucks for a good cleaning rod set, patches, oil, bore brush, and cleaning brushes. I used it the day it arrived, and I'm happy with it. It will last a long time.

I purchased this cleaning kit for my Smith & Wesson M&P 40 and am thoroughly impressed with the value and product received. This is my first cleaning kit and does the job from start to finish. The metal rod is interchangeable for other calibers (sold separately) which is a great feature for individuals who own multiple firearms with different calibers. It shipped within the allotted time frame which is another plus. If you're contemplating getting this, do yourself a favor and purchase it!

I got this to clean my brand new HK USP (chambered in .40 S&W). The no-lint pads are very limited in quantity in the box, so do buy more at the same time. The brush does foul up very quickly, but also cleans up very nicely. I think this is an adequate kit for good cleaning any .40 pistols. Range ammo really fouls up slides quite a bit, and this had no problem tackling it, despite the modest look of the set.
