Beautifully Soft
This yarn has a really pretty gentle sheen in the light. I've crocheted with it using a 5.0, 5.5 and 6.0mm hook (depending on the stitch) and all work well. Whilst not the cheapest acrylic yarn you can find, this is very nice quality. It feels great against my skin, out of 9 skeins I've only found one join, doesn't split easily, it handles well and washes well too. I'm vegetarian, so am not keen on crocheting with or wearing animal fibres even though they do work up beautifully. I do crochet and knit with a lot of cotton, bamboo and other natural fibres, but for this project I wanted something warm but lightweight with good drape so I chose acrylic. Some people avoid acrylic because they equate it to the overuse of single use plastic, however when I make garments or blankets, regardless of what I make them from I am putting tens or possibly hundreds of hours or work into a project. It's going to be worn or used with as much love as it was made and certainly not thrown into landfill quickly, so on that basis, I am happy knowing that I have balanced my fibre choice.

So soft!
This yarn is extremely soft! I havenโt knitted or crocheted with it yet but I canโt wait to use it. Just the skein alone feels lovely and soft and would make a beautiful jumper!

Incredible
I made the loveliest and softest baby blanket with this yarn. So pleased with it. Have ordered this yarn in more colours and Iโve been pleased with all of it. Crochets beautifully. Itโs so smooth and their colours are so pretty. This particular colour is more like silver and has a slight shine to it. Itโs genuinely beautiful.

Full disclosure- I am not a highly experienced crocheter. I primarily make baby blankets and have made many over the years. Couldn't find quite what I wanted nearby, so turned to Amazon. I searched for soft baby yarns and fell in love with the color of this "Simply Soft". But to me it wasn't simple to work with or particularly soft. As others mentioned, it splits easily and I really struggled with the lacy stitch I wanted to use. So I tried several other patterns and, while it looked nice, it worked up very heavy. Halfway through one version I was afraid it would weigh more than the baby. I finally gave up and did find an acceptable substitute at a retail store across town. To me, it almost feels like a sport yarn. If you know what you are doing, you may very well love this yarn, but it did not work for me!

Have purchased this brand quite frequently. It is always a good basic yarn, however, of late, I've found several knots within one skein. Not happy about that. I use for baby blankets. Don't know that I'll continue to buy, as there's a lot of other yarn available on e-bay at good prices.
