Nakabayashi NH-HSF180DG Scissors, Titanium Coat, Toad, Slim, Fluorine Coat

I've never used this type of scissor design. I just started using them to cut paper. So far, I'm pleased with how smooth the cutting action is and how well it fits in my hand. I would definitely buy from this brand again.

I use these scissors daily to cut collage pieces. They cut paper like a dream. The only thing I’m not thrilled with is the size of the openings where your fingers go. The smaller ones rub against your thumb. I tried to put a little cushion on it and that helped. But I do love these scissors so much.

I have had these scissors for over a year. We use them as everyday scissors for paper, tape, and cutting other thin material. We keep them in the kitchen drawer so we use them all the time. They are very sharp and have remained sharp. The shape of the blade is good. They are thin and light weight. The two sides are connected by a rivet and cannot be tightened. This has not been a problem as there has not been any noticeable wear at the pivot point. They would not be a good pair of scissors for a person with large hands as the finger holes are small. I would buy these again or send them as a gift.

Very sleek design also sharp

These scissors are very cool and the cut great. My only complaint is that the handle material is very brittle (or soft, I'm not sure). I've had two different pairs of these scissors and both of them have had issue with the handle material. I'm not sure if the material is too brittle or is too soft but there are little chunks of missing material, I'm not sure if pieces are breaking off (too brittle) or it's just being dented (too soft). The first pair I owned I carefully put them point down in a pen/pencil cup on my desk. The next time I took them out to cut something I noticed a chunk of material was missing from the outer edge of one of the blades. Was this because I put the scissors point down in a pen cup? My second pair had some issues with the finish, little globs of excess coating or material and little chips towards the back of the handle. Makes me want a good pair of stainless steel scissors again. These are just not as durable as I would like.

These are nicely made scissors that cut reasonably well through various materials. Initially I had wanted a pair of scissors that could occasionally cut through cloth and paper but these tend to struggle with fabric. They do sit well in the hand when used and easily cut into paper and cardboard, supposedly the fluorine coating helps keep adhesive from sticking onto the blades but I haven't used them enough to determine the validity of that. While I should have read the finer print, the picture pointing towards and bold name "Seki" on the box as the place where these scissors are made isn't true as they are made in China. On the whole they will probably hold up, though there isn't an easy way to tighten the rivet once it loosens; many Japanese-made scissors with a rivet have more of an edge that you can tap on with a hammer when they loosen. As a pair of scissors for less than $15, they are pretty good.

I started doing punk rock and horror style collages and I saw that an artist I follow recommend this scissors and without knowing much about the subject I ordered them and know I understand why the praise. They are a joy to use.

The scissors are nice but the finger holes are too small for a comfortable grip and they tend to twist when cutting through heavier material. Great for light work though

Love these scissors they are so easy to use sharp as, and a wonderful tool in my supply....

very attractive scissors and they cut the paper but they don’t handle anything heavier than a thin paper (even plastic film)

The scissors arrived and they were clearly used; there is also a hard substance dried onto the blades that I haven’t been able to clean off. They’re comfortable to hold and might be fine for cutting but they’re not usable in this condition.

This is a good pair of scissors, easy to cut papers with.
