About the size of a platter. Then the edge around the pit stays cool enough for a glass or mug of coffee

Q: Does this fire pit comewoth a burner lid and a firepit cover?

It comes with a nice burner lid. It does not come with a cover.

Q: How long does a propane tank last?

It just depends on how much you use it. We used it a lot this late winter and early spring and we replaced the tank once about a month ago. Since replacing we haven't had to do it again because it's now pretty hot where we live.
