Quality extension cords at a reasonable price. This would be our second purchase of these extension cords. We are a masonry contractor and these cords used in construction applications are are very durable. They do not twist up like the Home Depot Husky cords do.

I received the US-made variant same-day in Detroit. As others have said, it's heavy duty and extremely well made. Might order the 100' variant too and see if I win the made-in-the-US lottery twice. Definitely a nice cable, although it came shipped in a bag rather than a box and was a bit scuffed up. Can't complain, though. Got a good cable at a good price. Can't comment on the foreign-made variants. If you're in Detroit, at least, in February 2026, you might receive the US-made variant.

Definitely worth the investment For the small increase in cost for made in usa over a chinesium cord this ones been absolutely fantastic. Made in usa, heavy duty connectors thick stiff copper wires and very robust jacket. This has been tugged on, literally run over...multiple times, dragged through rock driveway and under and over the decks, it takes a beating and still kickin. Can't really think of a thing more to need out of a quality cord than that.

What a great price on a heavy duty 12/3 extension cord, everyone local were asking more than this for thin low amperage 16/3 wire. This doesn’t feel cheap, the ends seemed to be very well molded to the cord. I only gave it 4 stars because it makes absolutely no sense why anyone would make a cord out of 12 gauge wire, that’s rated for carrying 20 Amps, and then ruin that by putting male and female plugs on the end that are only rated for 15 Amps. Why why why would anyone do that? Luckily you can cut the 15A ends off and easily replace them with 20 Amp ends so you can get full use of this cord to run higher Amperage power tools and equipment.

Works as designed. Looks/feels of typical price point quality. The outer covering is a little stiffer/less pliable than I generally like, but that doesn't detract one bit from it providing electric 50' away in my case. I like that it includes the lighted end so it's easy from afar to see if a breaker has tripped. I'll definitely buy more Southwire extension cords shorter/longer as needs dictate.

I was almost end up return this item. It is 100 feet, and it is very hard to use without a reel. Today I bought a reel and problem solved. I am quite happy I figure this out. I just bought it a week ago, and not able to comment on the durability, but it looks very durable.
