It worked for less than two months after charging it for the first time. Now it displays "Er-bl" and won't accept charging anymore. Tried different cables and chargers which have no problem charging my cellphone, but this puppy doesn't charge. I gather "Er-bl" means "error - battery life has ended" but why? It has only a couple of months of infrequent use after charging once after delivery. Amazon website is no help to find out what to do, how to contact whom, either. I should have followed the adage "I am not rich to buy cheap stuff".

I used a hallway as a control, took measurements with both a tape and this device and boy am I happy to report that it seems pretty accurate to me. Of course, I would not use something like this for critical measurements unless I have a feel for it and can confidently know its accuracy. However, this thing was a pleasant surprise to use. The hallway measurements were practically identical to what I got with my tape. Close enough that I can say you could probably use this thing for a bulk of measurements, where applicable. It feels like it looks. Not a horrible build at all but it is plastic. I would probably avoid dropping it. It is alright. The value here is decent, especially if you make any money while using it. It can easily pay for itself with time saved. It was a little weird getting it to work properly at first, but it took no time to get it working right and had it tested within a few mins of taking it out of the with ease. As of right now, I would recommend this laser measuring device, for sure. So long as it lasts and continues to provide accurate results, I am very happy with it.

Very accurate and easy to use

Very confusing to use. Laser doesn't show up if the sun is out, in a darker situation it gives you a straight line, but the functions are not great. Screen is dark and black n white so a little hard to read, it seems to be a good quality, but I don't know how the accuracy would.work.if you can't even see the laswr. Ok value for the money, but definitely doesn't do good in the light

The laser measurement device comes with the unit, a hand strap, a charger cable (USB-C to USB-A) and a quick start guide. The guide includes multiple languages and provides about 14 pages of content per language. Mine did not have a charge when it arrived, but that is easily solved and common for rechargeable units. The hand-held unit has two built in levels, helping to make sure the measurement is accurate over longer distances. The measurements can be shown in feet, meters or inches. It also always the reference point (where it calls zero) to be changed between front, complete and rear. There is a history button so that multiple measurements can be made between recordings. Simple addition and subtraction can be done, which allows more complicated measurements by adding or subtracting one dimension from another. The unit can also calculate the area and volume for you. There are also other more involved measurement options, including calculating height by changing the angle (2 or 3 points) and there is a continuous mode that allows maximum and minimum distanced to be determined by sweeping the unit along the object. The laser dot is fairly strong, visible easily at 60 feet indoors and with some dimming at 75 feet, also indoors. When tested multiple times on a longer distance, the measurements were easily within the accuracy of my ability to hold the unit still against a wall (less than .01’ on a distance of 76’, and 0 difference in readings on 20-30’ measurements). As expected, the unit does not measure when pointing at glass, neither measuring the distance to the glass or to an object beyond the glass. Using the 2-point angle measurement matched doing direct measurements, within my ability to hit the same points and keep the unit in the same position. The addition and subtraction measurements also work as expected. In bright light outdoors, the laser is a bit harder to see, but the measurement capabilities were still operational. Overall, this is a great measurement unit and I am completely happy with the performance.
