Actually my dog likes these
Okay, I have a spoiled dog, you know the ones that that look like belong in a dog show and go to daycare and wonโt eat, unless itโs human food or wet food. Yeah, thatโs my Golden Doodle. The problem is; he has a sensitive stomach, so, he canโt eat everything he wants. I actually boil rice, like one bag and put like half the bag of nuggets in a lemon squeezer and mash the nuggets and then dump the rice over them and then add a little water and make enough food for like 3 days~ mixing it with 1 cup of dry food, so he will eat it. He likes the lamb the best, also the duck. He turned his nose up to the vension, like he was appalled, but I was boiling chicken and beef before this and itโs way easier and cheaper. If you spoil your dog and want a topper for dry food or to mix with rice or just use alone, this is great. No upset stomach and he eats!!

Our dog LOVES Primal
Best food for your dog! This food (the Primal line) has had an amazing effect on our dog. She is much healthier (no more vomiting, her hair is even softer -- believe it or not) and best of all -- she loves this food. It's been two years now and she still literally runs to her bowl to eat it. We feel good knowing this is all human grade meat and produce that goes into this and that the animals used are all humanely treated. We feed her the Lamb and Beef (we think she might have an allergy to poultry) but we have also tried the Turkey and Salmon and Chicken -- and she loves them all. The only one she didn't particularly like was the Duck. But we don't know why that is. Might just be she doesn't like duck. Also, we have referred this product (the cat food) to a fellow family member whose cat was vomiting and had digesting problems for literally years. Since the cat has been eating Primal, it's like a whole new cat -- in the first week, the vomiting and diarrhea went from several times a day to twice a week. And that was just the first week! We haven't checked back yet to see if Primal cured the problem absolutely. But if your dog or cat is having digestion issues -- you definitely will want to give Primal a try.

Quality
I have probably tried over half of the foods out there. Some of the foods where of good quality but I have a little girl that has stomach issues and until I found Primal, I was dealing with a lot of trips to the vet and meds. I became concerned when the foods did not have good ingredients in them. I don't want any foods that has products from China animals died from ingredients from China. My animals are my sweet babies. I am not saying all foods are bad now, but I know and trust Primal foods. It is expensive I thank God I have small dogs I don't need as much food as someone with a large dog. At this time, I can afford to pay for it. If the time would come, that I can't handle the expense I will make home food for them. I hope Primal never sells out to someone else because when that happens some of the companies change the food and not for the better.

#1 Boxer Dog Approved & Preferred!
My extremely picky Boxer can only eat lamb, goat & fish. He's allergic to all other meats. It's so incredibly difficult to find a healthy, balanced, organic dog food, free of antibiotics and hormones in his preferred choice of allowable meat (lamb) that he will eat. We have tried all formulas and all premium brands, canned, wet, dehydrated, and air dried etc... My Boxer might take a brief interest in something and then out of nowhere reject it! But these, THESE are his tried and true favorite! he will enthusiastically eat these anytime, dry or otherwise. I am very relieved to have found this for my beloved dog! They are on the pricier side but at least i'm not throwing away full bowls of dog food anymore. *Our most recent order came in a different newly designed packaged. I was concerned that the formula had changed and I'd have an issue with my dog eating these. However, upon comparing the ingredients on the old bag with the new, I discovered that some of the ingredients further down in the list have been rearranged in order, meaning the amount of those ingredients has either been increased or reduced but the ingredients were still the same. Upon inspecting the actual nugget, they appear to be slightly smaller, firmer and a bit more golden in color. Luckily though, this did not make any difference to my Boxer! He was so excited when I opened the bag that he devoured 8 nuggets on the spot!

Hard as rocks! If only I could give it a negative star instead of one star!
I am updating my old review to confirm that this is a DANGEROUSLY defective product. I gave Primal another chance and one bag was ok, but I accidentally ordered 2 more and both were like rocks. Couldn't cut them with a knife or crush them. It's the lamb recipe. Amazon kindly refunded me due to the defective Ness. DO NOT BUY! My old review is still true! It follows: I've used this product for years with my dog, but with this bag--which also seems to have different packaging--the nuggets are hard as rocks! I could barely cut them with a sharp knife (almost cut my finger while doing it, too!). They are impossible for my chihuahua to eat whole or even gnaw on, because she doesn't have many teeth! The dehydrating process must have gone awry or something. And they are not returnable OR refundable, so I tried soaking them in hot water to soften them up. My cat stole one when I wasn't looking and an hour later I heard her vomiting and she had swallowed it whole but fortunately was able to vomit it back up. It might have caused an obstruction! I'm throwing all these nuggets in the garbage but wrapped tight so some poor raccoon doesn't get an obstruction eating one. This is unconscionable that they won't refund such a dangerously defective product. When I went to empty the bag, a number of the nuggets were stuck together. This is not how these nuggets are, normally. They are dry and separate, and so could never stick together. Hopefully this is just one defective bag, but I am NEVER using Primal again just in case. Too bad, because I've used their products for years but I can't risk this.

Freeze dried dog dog food.
My dog is a terrier small breed. This is the only dogfood he will eat. He won't eat according to directions. He takes one whole cube several times and takes them to his bed and eats them there. All natural products used to make them.

Great ingredients. My picky eaters say, โno thanksโ
Hereโs a polished version of your review: I have mixed feelings about this product. On one hand, I appreciate the quality ingredients, impressive shelf life, and the convenience of not having to store raw meat in the freezer. These aspects are definitely a plus. However, the price point is simply not sustainable for most people. Unfortunately, my two Mini Aussies just werenโt interested in it. While they generally love raw foods, raw lamb isnโt always easy to find, so I was hoping this would be a good alternative. However, they seem to prefer frozen versions over dehydrated ones. The nuggets take a long time to rehydrate, even after breaking them into smaller pieces, which adds to the inconvenience. On top of all that, the rising prices for an already expensive product are hard to justify. For now, Iโll stick to buying raw food from my local butcherโitโs much more affordable and my dogs enjoy it more.
