A Healing Path for Womb Twin Survivors

Helpful, but missing something important
There is a lot of very valuable information in this book and I am grateful for that. It has helped me unravel a lot. What I disliked though was that the author seemed to imply that all womb twin survivors go down the dark paths she has described here. I disagree with that. The womb twin survivor in my life has definitely suffered from on-going health issues, is very empathic, etc., but they in no way took the destructive path in life that is described in this book. I wish more time would've been devoted to the positive aspects of womb twin survivors. Though very sensitive, empathic and perhaps lonely and grieving inside, it is not a given that all will choose a destructive path in life. Some are the most beautiful, caring souls on the planet, even as they struggle with physical and/or emotional pain.

Excellent resource on the topic and helpful for womb twin survivors
Great book to help womb twin survivors heal. It is a good source of information for therapists, those trying to help womb twin survivors, and those personally dealing with the loss of a twin. Very good information.

useful book for understanding the implications of what it means ...
A really informative, useful book for understanding the implications of what it means to be a womb twin survivor. If you are a womb twin survivor or your child is, I would recommend the reading of this as it takes you on a journey of understanding the common personality traits of being a womb twin survivor and how you can address and change your behaviour and patterns. Althea describes how to mourn the loss of your twin and how to grieve in order to let go. I didn't realise that I had been grieving all my life for my twin and how this was impacting on my behaviour and health. I came across Althea's book when researching about twins and it opened my eyes to the huge effect the loss has had on me. Typical of a womb twin survivor, I went on to have an eating disorder in my teens and am currently recovering from CFS/ME. The book explains why and what to do about it, and as such has helped me on the road to my recovery.

A new field in psychology
This is an excellent book, but as first books go in any subject, it covers most of the basics but it is a bit harsh on the reader. If you suspect you may be the survivor of a twinship and have emotional problems you should read this book. I don't enjoy however at times an uncompassionate tone to the reader.
