Capacitor Popped Off
Poor quality components, worked fine for 2 years and then a capacitor burst out without any warning with some smoke. These should last 10 years.

It works on its own, but only on its own.
Trying to use an HDMI capture card while this is plugged into the monitor causes problems. Its power output seems to be consistent enough not to cause problems, but when it has to share ground with another device, it causes constant problems that only go away once either the ground or the power adaptor is disconnected.While I have no issues without the capture card connected, I no longer trust it enough to safely power a monitor, especially not when it's connected to something as valuable as my PC.
