Extremely well built...Pricey but worth it...

I tried jerry-rigging a clamp the first few times that I used my grain mill with little success. So, I saved up (cost is the 4-star) and got this. It is SO MUCH easier to mill when all your energy actually goes into cranking, rather than having to worry about stabilizing it. VERY solid, as is everything related to this mill. I'm sure it will last forever if I take care of it! Just wish the price were a bit more accessible.

I had some questions ab out this grinder and the peanut butter accessory. The support guy, Joel, didn't seem to know the product at all. It took three emails for me to get him to understand what small part I needed to reorder. So go ahead and get it because the grinder and peanut butter accessory work just fine, b ut order some extra "keys" because they're easy to lose and you an't use the grinder without them.

I wanted the Country Living Grain Mill because of its great reputation, but was hesitant because I didn't want to have to permanently mount it to a platform in order to use it. Voila - the grain mill clamp solves that problem!The clamp is easy to attach and it allows me to secure the mill to my granite kitchen counter whenever I want to grind wheat for artisan bread, and when I'm finished it's a snap to remove it and put the mill away till the next time I need it. I'm happy to report that it does secure snugly enough that there's no wobbling when grinding and yet the clamp is thoughtfully designed in such a way that the grips did not mar my granite countertop's finish at all. Well worth having if you're going to conveniently use your Country Living Grinder when & where you want to.
