Fully recommend
This stuff is awesome. Easy to apply and exposes in under 20 seconds with a budget UV LED light. I'm pretty new to screen printing and use this at home with zero issue. The remover can get this off with some scrubbing, but a pressure washer makes it almost effortless.

PLEASE READ ME if you are new to this
I'm new to screen printing and when I first tried to use this emulsion, I failed miserably in so many ways. After much trial and error and so many messed up screens I have a system that works for me perfectly every time and I wanted to share it to hopefully save people some headaches. 1. Apply emulsion in a dark room, making sure it is smooth without drips. I use a headlamp with a red light setting so I can see. 2. Let the emulsion dry in a dark place where it will see no light. I usually go for 24 hours, but as long as it is not sticky to the touch it should be fine. 3. Print your image on transparency paper. I print it twice and put the papers together to make sure light does not get through. 4. Put the transparency paper on the side of the screen you will put against the shirt (or whatever you are printing on) and make sure the image is backwards so it will be correct when you flip the screen over. This is also a good time to think about the orientation and placement of the image on the screen so it will be easy to screen print later. Once the transparency paper is in place, set something clear over it, I use a piece of glass I got from a picture frame. Make sure your images are lined up and you did not bump them. 5. Put something black under the screen so you don't get reflection. 6. Using a 500 watt halogen yellow construction light (the standard yellow light you see everywhere) 18" over the screen and make sure it stays in place. Turn on the light for 4 minutes. 7. Before exposing the screen to any light put the screen under a shower or sink and get the areas wet where the images should be and let it sit for about 5 minutes to help it soften. Now you can run water over the screen and very lightly use your fingers to rub the areas to clear out the image. I do this on both sides until the image is very clearly clean of emulsion. I don't like to use a pressure washer, the sink works perfectly. That's it!

Good for printing halftones with water-based inks
Good emulsion provides fine detail for my halftones. Very fast exposure time. Tough stencil that holds up to cleaning with a pressure washer after it has cured. I like that it is shelf stable. Have some screens that I coated 5 months ago, the exposure time was nearly twice as long, but still turned out great.

decent, short exposure time
I liked the consistency and viscosity of the emulsion. I had to figure out how long to expose the screen and it was 28 seconds with 2 100watt blacklights about 24 inches high. although I struggled and I did not like how it spread across the screen when applying and kept getting heavy drips and uneven coating-could be me and not the emulsion but that is what happened. also left large side drips-I used a 15 inch long scoop on a 20 inch wide screen. I go it much more even after about 10 screens-less or even light pressure seemed to work better for a more even coat. The emulsion worked fine for exposing and details and printed well-but my image was not extremely detailed-there was some one inch text- when it came time to clean the screens it was very plastic and I could pull of large dried pieces from screen.

NEW SCREEN PRINTERS SHOULD TRY SPEEDBALL FIRST
I experimented with screen printing a few years ago and I had pretty easy success with Speedball emulsion. I decided to try it again and purchased this. I had 5 failed screens no matter what time I tried. I know photography principles because I can print photos in the darkroom. This stuff was sticky, messy and impossible. I purchased some Speedball emulsion, followed the instructions and had 5 successful screens burned.

Awesome product
Iโm a beginner at screen printing and if used other emulsions that were thicker and harder to use. I recommend using this before anything else. When using this product my exposure time was cut in half.

Easier with practice
Second time trying this emulsion. First time I had no idea what I was doing and switched to the beginner emulsion which was fine but didnโt last too well with water-based inks and would start to break up while printing. This second time around, I had a better light and setup, exposed for 15 seconds using a 50 w LED UV light at a distance of about 18 inches off the print side. Worked perfectly. Had to drop down from my originally 45 seconds, then to 30 second and found I was over exposing with both. So 15 seconds it is
