Product arrived in good time, beautifully packaged and presented. I'm new to watercolours and these have a great range of metallic colours with a lovely shimmer. So far so goodA nice touch was that the product seller immediatly contacted me via Amazon to check that the product arrived safely and whether there were any concerns or issues with the product that they could address.

These really are fabulous paints. They are of superb quality and enhance any watercolour by creating effects with their shimmer. Depending on how much you use, the effect can be subtle or can really stand out. I love working with them. I wouldn't paint just using these but when combined with standard watercolour the effect is really beautiful. I would say treat yourself and add these to your painting stash.

Not a cheap set, but worth the price. I consider it the best brand for metallic watercolor paints.(there are some smaller and cheaper sets from the same brand)I love it.

I have been a watercolour artist for over 15 years but these are the first metallic watercolours Iv tried.Over all I’m pretty happy with them.The paint pans are a nice size and filled to the brim, they are a nice hard paint but do need a little coaxing to get a decent amount of pigment on the brush. As far as I can tell the metallic shimmer does go all the way through the paint unlike some Iv seen reviews for that have said it was just sat on top and needed mixing in.Really lovely range of colours, I preferred the lighter frosty tones which surprised me. I found the darker colours a bit wishy washy and had to do around three layers to get any decent colour pigment to stick to the paper, it kept just washing off as I tried to add more layers.They look a million times better when the paint has dried on the page! I was a bit disappointed when I first gave them a go (as they we’re still wet) and the metallic pigment seemed to disappear. But when the were dry it looked very shimmery and magical.They are very translucent, I gave them 4 stars for this reason, as you really do need to use them on top of ordinary watercolours or another medium to add shimmer rather than using them directly as a pigment them selves- in my opinion. But they are good quality and look very nice when added on top of a painting to add a bit of extra dimension.I do feel they were a bit over priced at almost £50 as they are really better for accompanying other paints. But I wouldn’t send them back so I guess in the end I’m happy enough with them.Iv added some photos of colour swatches and a transparency indicator using a HB pencil mark then painting over the top of it with two layers of paint to show what I mean.As far as the seller I have no problems at all. I got them the next day after ordering and it was a few days after Christmas that I ordered so perfect and no complaints at all.

Love the opaque metallic sheen, but colours can be built up depending on what you prefer. I’ve used them on brown paper and black (awesome) but also fantastic on white watercolour paper. I’ve been using them to paint my Islamic geometry, makes a nice change from gouache. Suggest doing a sample of the colours on whatever paper you’re using, just to see which ones are best for your purposes.

If you’re a watercolour enthusiast, this product is for you! Great shimmery colours on both black and white paper, and great presentation.Amazing customer service from the Lightwish Team, I got super fast delivery and a proactive email to check if everything was ok with the product. Would definitely order from them again.

I bought these as a birthday gift for myself because I’m worth it and I have loved using them and seeing the shimmer on my art Journaling pages. The only complaint I have is that I could not read the names on the stickers over the pans and the leaflet and colour test sheet included (also great to have) is also in Chinese. Hopefully they will include text in English too in future as they are selling internationally.

Love these water colours, really different and ideal for projects that need that extra sparkle. These pearly paints have more depth than I was expecting . I have really enjoyed using them.

These are the most amazing shimmery watercolors I’ve ever seen and a few of the colors even pull differently depending on the color of paper. I’d highly recommend these for mixed media artists out there!

J'aime beaucoup ces aquarelles. Elles sont bien brillantes et bien couvrantes. Les couleurs sont super belles et variées. La boîte est belle et très bien emballée dans un joli carton rose et un tissu. C'est chinois mais c'est beau et bien présenté. Vraiment agréable de travailler avec.

Las tengo ya hace un tiempo y me han encantado. Sus colores bellisimos y su calidad muy buena.

Enamorada de estas acuarelas, pigmentan fenomenal y con mucho brillo, no podía estar más contenta con esta compra. El estuche es muy chulo y viene muy bien empaquetadito.

Prima di tutto: ho preso la scatola quella con i colori glitter, non quella con gli acquerelli tradizionali.Ho preso questa scatola perchè ho visto buone recensioni in giro su youtube e pensato che anche se i colori non mi soddisfacevano almeno avrei avuto la bellissima scatola da riutilizzare e ri-riempire con altri acquerelli. E il packaging è ottimo, la scatola bella solida rispetto ad altre con la stessa conformazione, bella anche la scatola di cartone solida e riutilizzabile, e il panno in microfibra. Ho apprezzato anche la carta da acquerello prestampata su cui fare gli swatches. Il tutto lo rende un prodotto bellissimo per un regalo. Da' proprio una bella prima impressione.I colori in se' sono belli densi, una volta bagnati si attivano molto facilmente (più facilmente di altri glitterati che ho provato), e c'è un sacco di colore dentro questi panetti. Sembra un buon prodotto quasi (quasi!) da gamma artisti piuttosto che da gamma studenti come il prezzo sembra suggerire.Ad oggi credo di aver provato solo 3 marche oltre a questa di acquerelli glitterati: i panetti che stanno all'interno dei kuretake gansai tanbi (buoni, ma non sono acquerelli, sono gansai, quindi più coprenti), un paio di tubetti di daniel smith (che per quanto siano la mia marca preferita quei particolari tubetti glitter non mi hanno stupito in modo positivo) e i 4 della gamma di Pfeiffer Art Supply e paragonati a queste 3 marche questi Paul Rubens sono quelli che mi hanno stupito di più.Ora a questo punto sono curiosa di come sono i colori tradizionali.
