Been at various jobs that required a badge like this for my entire career, and while I was mostly just hunting for one that I could attach an airtag to, this seems about as close to perfect as you can get in every other way as well. I go through those cheap badge holders constantly and they always break given enough time. The parts that never last are: 1. The string between the badge and the retractable part will wear out and snap. This one has an actual metal cable. 2. The rubberized part with the snap that actually attaches to the badge will crack and split. This one has a web of some sort of filament running through the entire thing to reinforce it. 3. The badge sleeve itself will just split down a seam. Hard plastic case here so no chance of that. Long story short, looks like somebody actually put some thought into how these things normally fail and addressed it instead of just putting it in a bulkier case and calling it "rugged". Only just got it so I can't say for certain, but seems like this one should last a very long time. My only real nitpick is the card holding functionality. This thing is realistically never going to replace your wallet, and thus it adds a fair bit of bulk for what I think most people will find to be completely useless empty space. Not knocking off as it says right in the description what you are buying in that regard, but I would really prefer a version of this that just holds one badge and an airtag in exchange for being thinner, but doesn't look like anyone sells one.

I really like the size of this ID holder. It appears to be very durable out of a scale of one to five. I would give it a five. The design out of a scale of one to five I would definitely give it a five. Value for this type of item definitely a 5 Initially, I was concerned because I did not think the magnetic card key would fit inside of the holder. I also was concerned about the Apple AirTag interfering with the magnetic car key however it does not. This is an excellent ID holder.

Got this so I could attach an airtag to my ID. so if it ever did get lost, I could find it easier. The quality of this seems amazing in my opinion. took a few seconds to figure out how to put the clip on, but other than that. seems great for my purpose. ty.

As other comments have mentioned, my package was missing the ring to hold the AirTag and the screwdriver for the hex screws. Since commenters have complained about the customer service from the company I chose to forgo contacting them and instead fashion my own piece to secure an AirTag. It doesn’t look as good but it is functional and the ability to hold an AirTag was not a reason I purchased this badge holder. The cable reel is smooth and seems robust as does the badge holder. I can’t say if the pieces are injection molded or 3D printed but all parts are very rigid and do not feel overly inexpensive. I was initially concerned when purchasing that it might be overall too heavy or bulky but in use it has been fine. I have to badge through a gate to park and instead of taking the whole thing off it has been easy enough to extricate my badge from the holder to swipe and then put it back in. I don’t put any other cards in with my badge so I don’t know if that would entail having to pull out all the cards to do that or not. I’m only giving it 4 stars do to the missing AirTag holding ring but I’d still purchase this again even if that wasn’t feature; it’s just disappointing knowing that it should have been included. Otherwise it seems a decent item at the current price.

This is not the packaging that it shows in the pictures or video…there’s not even a place for the screwdriver. This has basically rendered this product useless as the biggest sell point was the air tag holder.

Sturdy, I have this and the hook-on version. they are bulky but once you get accustomed to it not that bad. I have hooked on the car seat, the chair at work and it didn't snap off like every other one I've had. If you like using these this is the one you want.

Initially this badge holder has been a life saver when I misplace it. However, after a few months started noticing the place clip that holds the badge to the leash portion started ripping and threading. I had to Jerry rig the badge as the plastic clip ended breaking. I had to resort to my old badge holder but it is very heavy compared to the leash it originally came with. I can keep around 4 or 5 card in the holder but I usually just keep the one.

I’d holder se purely hold five cards with no problems. Needing to use my work id to access many doors throughout my day has put this auto return badge holder thru its paces on a daily basis. It currently still works great.

In the box: The card holder comes in a box with bit that need to be screwed together. I guess the advantage here is the AirTag cannot simple be removed. You get the card holder, retractable key/card loop, clip for retractable loop, cover for Air Tag, screws to screw in Air Tag cover and screwdriver for said cover. + instruction booklets on how to fit clip and AirTag. Use: To be honest I was expecting this to be less bulky and less plasticly. Everything just feels bigger than it needs to be, have to agree with another reviewer that this is over engineered. The card holder can easily hold 4 cards, maybe 5 if you really squeeze them in there. The only thing is, with many cards being NFC, a holder like this you get card clash. In my experience it’s easier having separate cards that you have to hand rather than all in one card holder then removing the required card for use. There is a metal spring so if you only have 2 card in the holder they don’t rattle around and stay in place. The retractable clip is the biggest size I’ve ever come across. While there is a decently thick metal cable/wire the housing feels too big a too plastic. For something with a carbon fibre decal it doesn’t feel like it! I do like the threads in the loop as this is a point of failure I’ve had on other retractable clips. Final thoughts: I’m disappointed with this product. While it does the job and everything it says it would I was expecting it to do so more elegantly. I wouldn’t want to take this to work. It looks really cheesy with the carbon fibre decal, exposed Allen head screws. I could understand the use case in the US as they do not have as many NFC cards compared to Europe but here packing 4 cards in a pass holder is very impractical. When there are so many card holders/wallets that are marketed at being thin, this does the opposite. If the product had more metal and less bulky plastic it would’ve been great!

There is no better and easier way to have you cards handy then this! If you have any sort of card (ID/Access/etc) that needs to be presented then this is a must for you, if your like me your probably tired of fishing through a pocket or bag to find the card and present it for access. The case is study but thin enough that it will not interfere with using it for Proximity cards and while it could support up to 4 cards (if thin enough) only 1 can be proximity based without interfering with the others and honestly the main use case is just for a single card. The wire is strong and securely attached, I'm not concerned with it breaking if it's caught on something or pulled and the clip is secure enough I do not see it easily being stolen, however like everything there is a trade off between security and convivence and while I would still consider this secure and trust worthy it does increase the exposure if your dealing with sensitive access control policies.

As soon as I opened this my heart sank a little as I could see this was made from the cheapest plastic out there. It feels like it won't stand up to a great deal of use and I don't feel comfortable enough with it to sue it. I could be being over sensitive but I think I'll keep searching and maybe find a higher quality one and if that ends up being more expensive than this one then so be it.
