Our porch has sunken lights in the ceiling. Using this extender we were able to add a security camera into the sunken ligh "pot" and still have the flexibility to aim it as we needed. It saved us from having to have an electricien rewire the porch for the camera. Since the porch had 3 sunken lights we were able to keep 2 for light and one for the camera.

Bought and installed these extenders 3 years ago. Notice both have full length cracks in plastic section next the metal section even though all I have used only used 14 watt led bulbs in them even though they are advertised to handle up to 150 watts. Why can’t we get fixtures now days that last 100 years like in grandmas house or have lasted 50 years in our house? I know the answer to this - they are made in a country that uses cheap materials and labor but who have people that have great expertise in cosmetics and American companies that have great expertise in marketing. I give 3 stars only because they have lasted 3 years.

Needed a bulb socket extension for recessed kitchen lights. This extender brings the bulb out to exactly where it just protrudes from the ceiling recess. The kitchen is now very brightly lit. Make sure you take note of the maximum wattage of this product.Seems sturdy and well designed. Easy to install into the socket and easy to screw the bulb into this extension.I put one in each of the 4 recessed lights and made the wife very happy.

I have old can lights shining on my fireplace and in front of a book case. These lights were absolutely useless. Did not light the fireplace photo up nor to light up the objects in my bookshelf. I installed these and Walla, all items lit up at least eight times better.

Does what it's suppose to do. Needed for a bathroom fan. Worked great.
