Djembe Drum African Goatskin Replacement Head, Hair-off Goat Skin From Mali

I'm not an expert by any means on leathers, however, this leather suited my purpose, produces a beautiful sound, and was large enough that I'll be able to re-skin my djimbe when this one wears out. Merchant missed my initial order, however, called within a day or so and shipped it out immediately. (before I noticed it was late it arrived) All in all, satisfied with the experience; product is as advertised.

Got this skin to replace the old split head on my rope-tuned djembe. This was my first attempt at doing it and I think it turned out alright. This goat skin was plenty big for my djembe. The skin I received was much lighter in color than I expected and there was no center spine on the skin per-say to line up in the center of the drum. I would though buy one of these skins again.

I called them and asked a few questions, got online and ordered. Showed up within a week. Loved the small amount of fur still on, lightly spotted and the mild funky smell while soaking it. Came out soft and supple. Was my first time to replace a laced djembe head and was glad for its 23" diameter. Plenty of room for getting it in the rings and easy to get the edge wrinkles out before stringing and tightening.

Very happy with this drum head. It was delivered in a reasonable time and was as described. It's on a 16", African, rope-tuned djembe now, pretty tight, and sounds great. It was big enough that it wasn't too hard for me to put this on.

It is very large, at least 24 inches in diameter, very clean. Very nice! Highly recommend it. Buy direct from hawkdancing studio to support their high quality product!

I know very little about drums, this was very easy to work with and install on a found broken djembe. To my untrained ear sounds great.

The Head was in very good condition. It was well worth the money.

Nice skin for my rope tuned Djembe from Guinea. Still tuning it up to pitch but as it is it sounds great!
