Better Alt is my favorite. I've bought and tried $10 Shilajit & $60 Shilajit. Better Alt is $30 Shilajit and the only one I've bought multiple times. It's presentation, packaging, utensil, taste & marketing are all better than brands that are twice as much in price. If you're on the fence about it or want to try but not sure where to start, I would start with Better Alt brand. They list all of their 3rd party testing in the packaging. As for taste, they all have a strong,bitter flavor, Better Alt has ingredients for different foods & drinks you can try it with, which is nice. I've been using Shilajit for the better part of a year now, so I take mine straight out of the jar. I've gotten used to the taste of it. 5/5.

It smells like Dettol/Phenol and tastes probably like a tar shampoo (never tried tasting a tar product 😂). If you ever had to visit an Indian hospital, you would know the smell I describe. It if you ever used a tar shampoo, you would know how it might taste. BUT, I could easily replace coffee. This gave enough energy & focus to get through all my back to back meetings in the morning. Phew! Packing is fancy, but may be unnecessary. Consistency is that of Nutella. I used to think Nutella was the annoyingly stickiest substance we had to put up with for kids pleasure, but this tops it. I hope, somebody can come up with a simpler dispensing mechanism. Since it was on sale, bought two bottles. I will come back and update the efficacy on overall health.

Excellent product

I've been using shilajit for years. (You don't take it constantly, it's best to cycle on and off). I bought this product in October when my usual brand was unavailable, and I did not try it until this week. This is clearly cut with something oily and disgusting, probably mineral oil. It is not a proper resin. It's important to know that shilajit is always an acquired taste. A good quality shilajit has a strong, smoky resin taste that is something like very thick smoked fermented tea. It's enjoyable when you are accustomed to it. This however tastes rancid, and is a liquid that slides right off the ridiculous fancy scoop that's included. The taste is truly awful, and because it is an oil and not a resin, it is almost impossible to get the taste out of your mouth afterward. I will never waste money on this brand again, I will always wait for a trusted seller to stock mine. If you have tried this brand and think that you do not like shilajit or that it does not work for you, I suggest trying again with a reputable seller. This brand comes in obnoxious unnecessarily fancy packaging with lots of "guarantees" printed on it, but anyone who is actually familiar with shilajit will be wildly disappointed. From the good reviews I imagine there must be someone selling this brand who actually sells proper shilajit, but this is where I purchased it, and you do NOT want to buy yours here. If I had opened it sooner I would have returned it, but now all I can do is order from a reliable source instead and throw this bottle away. I do not recommend this item to others. Please buy it somewhere else.

The bottle is smaller than I expected but that may have been my fault for not paying close attention to the size listed. Aside from that, the product appears well-packaged and sealed properly. So far, it is good, energy levels have been great. Just be sure to check the size before ordering. Easy to mix.

I was "commercialed" while watching a YouTube video about a Shilajit Gummy product and was considering purchasing it. Before doing that, I decided to use AI to research Shilajit and wow, what a eye opening event that was. It guided me to Better Alt Pure Himalayan Shilajit under the recommendation of keeping a watch on the metal content of Shilajit and Certification of the product. It warned about the taste. Short version, do not use a metal anything with this product, do not mix with coffee/tea as the flavelnoid takes away the absorption benefits, start with a small amount "grain of rice" and work your way up to the "pea" size portion. I use a wooden chop stick in a glass cup. Benefits, I don't need coffee, no jitters at all. The packaging assures the product is stored in good condition while in use. It comes with Certification that you can actually research that it is real! Do not use before bed, give yourself about 7 to 8 hours before going to bed. I use distilled water heated and a little honey. However strange, I LIKE THE TASTE even without the honey. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT if you are having issues staying awake around 2 pm.

A friend of friend takes this in gummy sweets and swears by it. I thought i'd give it a try in its more natural form and looked around and after reading various reviews, I went for this particular brand. On receiving the very nicely packed jar, I opened it and yes it doesn't smell great. A sort of burnt oily plastic smell. It doesn't taste much better and has the consistancy of marmite. So I use the little supplied spoon by dunking it in the jar about a 3rd of the way up the spoon and then hanging the spoon into my milk frother which heats up the milk for my morning coffee and slowly dissolves the resin. In a hot sweet milky coffee, it adds 'something' and I actually like the taste. The very first time I took it, I could 'feel' something different. A subtle boost in energy maybe. It definately curbed apetite for me. I've now been taking it daily for a month just in the morning with my coffee and apart from losing just over a stone (or 16lbs), I do feel a bit more energised. Not 4 cans of Redbull energised but definately dont feel knackered in the afternoons like I used to. It hasn't upset my stomach at all, my sleep is unchanged but then I sleep well anyway and I can say I feel better than I did before I started using it as a supplement. Weirdly I prefer my coffee with a dollop of this stuff. I cerntainly recommend you try it.
