Outstanding Humidifier - Along with Some Suggestions
Some helpful hints I found have helped to keep this humidifier working. First, make sure the tape and Styrofoam block are removed from the product. Second, when filling the tank, make sure that room temp water is added, especially the for the first time. Hot water may damage the seal. Third, do not fill water above the MAX level. The extra weight may cause leaks in the seal. Fourth, all small humidifiers like this will get bacteria/mold if not cleaned every 2-3 days. It is the nature of having water heating up for days without cleaning. If you don't like cleaning it every three days, understand that there will be mold/bacteria inside the base's small tank. It's just that simple. Cleaning is easy, but it takes some time to thoroughly clean the unit. ... and fifth, make sure NO water gets in the part that looks like a tower on the base's smaller tank. A small amount will flood the air intake and the electronics' board. This will mess up the controls. If it does happen, use a blow dryer on low to try and dry the board at the base of the unit. Otherwise, a couple of days should dry it out. If it isn't severely flooded, it may still work. Also, NEVER put anything but water in the tank when in use. Vicks, scented oils, or anything else will wreck this humidifier. The only thing I use in the tank is white vinegar to clean and descale it, but after that kind of cleaning, I rinse it out thoroughly and then dry it completely. Keep in mind, tap water is not the best water to use (lots of minerals) which is why white dust from this humidifier can go everywhere in the home and stick to the inside areas of the humidifier. Best to use distilled water or at least buy a demineralizing cartridge if using tap water (they last 4-6 months). Hope these helpful hint work for your humidifier. Took a lot of trial and error beforehand, but once I used this information, there hasn't been an issue yet with my Dreo humidifier or any of my previous humidifiers. Best of luck UPDATE: I started to have some issues with dust just like what others have be experiencing. I contacted Dreo by email and customer rep, Carol Hesung, was able to help resolve the problem. While suggesting that distilled water is the best way to combat the dust, I mentioned it wouldn't work out for me due to the high cost of distilled water per month. Carol understood and offered a complete refund for this unit and for the larger unit I purchased. Not only that, the demineralizing cartridge filter (3-pack) I bought was also refunded. Carol said there was no need to return any of these products. Not only was I pleasantly surprised with this outcome, it proved to me that Dreo is all about making it right for the customer if problems arise. With the actions Dreo has made, I will definitely recommend them and make future purchases from this company. Their customer service has been stellar and I wish other businesses would follow their lead. The Dreo team puts customers first and that is one of their best services offered. Thank you Dreo and thank you Carol. I was able to set the Dreo up quickly and finally get some moister back into my room. So far, this is product is working very well. It is super quiet, compact and easy to take apart, clean and put back together. There are many easily operated controls for such a small unit. 4L is quite small for my living room, but for a small bedroom, this will do the trick. I am pleased with the looks, the style, the easy operation, the light system, but most of all the steam output and the way you can direct the steam is an added bonus. If this can last as long as my old humidifier of 9 years, then I will be that loyal customer only to Dreo for sure. It really is a good humidifier even for its smaller footprint. Definitely recommend.

Great for my plants
I have a larger humidifier, but wanted a smaller one to use near my plant wall. I have a hygrometer and I could see the change in humidity with a few hours. Normally the area is around low to low 40's, now the area runs in the mid 50s which is perfect for a lot of my plants. I like the drip catch under the mist head but after its first use I did not see a drop of water in the recess area or on the top. On high it ran from late afternoon to early morning and would have lasted another hour or so but was low. The plants seem to respond well to it and it does not soak them or the surroundings. I am almost thinking about getting another one to have them on opposite sides of the plant wall to insure even coverage. Even with the AC on near it, it held the humidity level well. Easy clean and the I don't use it but the internal light is nice for the few seconds I had is on. Easy to use and worth the cost.

Very solid humidifier
Best humidifier I've ever had. Holds a solid amount of water, is very quiet, and it's helpful. Easier to clean than most other humidifiers I've had, but still has some hard to reach spots. Other than that, no issues. Light has variable adjustments, I keep it on low, can't notice it during the day but it has a nice glow at night. Would buy again.

Falls short on safety without mist stream direction
I have 5 Dreo humidifiers in all, a newer version of this model as well as this model. Pros - quiet and effective. The light settings are lovely, I don’t use them much in main living areas but my kids love the light features for a gentle night light. Mist is cool, fine, and travels well in the air. Cons - so this is where I am really struggling with these units. The projection of the mist is so upright and narrow that it shoots more than 40 inches high. You WANT the mist up high for the best distribution of the heavier (water dense) air - i.e. your humidity. So I understand why it’s a feature to force the mist so high. And most furniture surfaces we might place this on are high up. However, you can’t actually aim the direction of the mist almost at all, period. The tops (both models I have are the same) have an adjustable top to direct the stream of mist forward or back - a fraction of an inch! It does not actually help, at all. So, if like most people, you set these units on a piece of furniture the height of a tall dresser or perhaps a short bookshelf you will saturate your ceiling. (See photo of green unit). If you put these things on a plant shelf, you’ll have huge droplets of water collecting on the underside of the shelf - and if you have grow lights, well, those are soaked now, too. (Photo of white unit on a shelf with very tall plants). In a desperate attempt to avoid mold and damage to my ceiling (or electrical components to my lights) I folded a thin vinyl notebook cover into an elbow-shaped-tube (green unit in the photos). This is both a very obnoxious thing to have to try to fix as well as an overall hazard. Many many competent designs exist to allow you to direct the flow of the mist away from items that could be damaged. My makeshift “tube” collects water (of course it does) and drips so I also have my unit sitting inside a plant tray. This is entirely too many steps to make it safe to operate my units around things like ceilings, walls, furniture, lights, and plugs. I don’t know about you, but those are all extremely hard to avoid in every house I’ve ever been inside. Eventually I will grab an angled funnel from my local automotive store to replace the make-shift tube I made to get by. By the time I buy funnels and plant trays for every unit I really start to resent the extra steps, costs, tweaking, and daily mess to maintain in the name of safety, which should be a key consideration in the design of an electrical appliance that you fill with water. Tips: Remove ALL packaging. Start on low, run for a day, gradually work your way up until the humidity is where you need it. Use distilled water only, sorry! If you want it to last and you don’t want to take it apart and clean it incessantly, used distilled water. Tap water and drinking water will introduce minerals, chlorine, and bacteria which will shorten the life of any unit from any brand and will increase the frequency of which they need to be cleaned. Put something underneath it! ALL humidifiers function by super-soaking the air with water. Surfaces nearby collect water, that water forms drips, drips make a mess. Place your unit inside a plastic tray, dish, or tote. Don’t overfill it, for real.

Great piece
I suffer from asthma so this humidifier has helped a lot. comes with a lot of features which are nice like auto shut off, the lighting is not too strong for the bedroom and and operates very quietly. And I've kept the humidity in my room at a good level and helps me sleep . The nozzle is adjustable so that you could keep the mist away from you. it's a great buy for the price.

Quiet, Easy to Fill, and Works Great
We’ve been very happy with this Dreo humidifier. The 4L tank lasts a long time, and the top-fill design makes refilling quick and mess-free. It’s incredibly quiet at night, making it perfect for the bedroom without disturbing sleep. It puts out a consistent mist, helps keep the room comfortable, and is simple to clean and maintain. The build quality feels solid, and the controls are easy to use. If you’re looking for a reliable humidifier that’s easy to live with every day, this is an excellent choice.

Quality Product, Stellar Service
The humidifier came packaged exceptionally well, with easy to read care and cleaning instructions. It's made from high quality materials and nothing feels cheap or flimsy. One of the warning labels did leave behind a sticky residue which was impossible to remove without rubbing alcohol, but at least the plastic underneath wasn't scratched or scuffed when I peeled them off. There are quite a few parts to remove and clean before and in-between each use, but given how dangerous mold can be, I actually view this as a good thing. The unit comes with a tiny cleaning brush, 3 (total) aromatherapy pads for essential oil, the instruction/warranty booklet, and a helpful quick cleaning guide. The humidifier is very powerful and produced a huge plume of visible mist the instant it was turned on. You'd really have to strain to hear it make any noise at all, as the unit is virtually silent. There is a rather loud beep each time any button is pressed, but these noisy beeps are the only feature I could see anyone having an issue with, everything else about this humidifier is fantastic. I'm very pleased with my purchase. There is an optional nightlight of a soft teal color that can be set to high, low, or turned off. This nightlight is quite pleasant, and if anything, I wish it were a bit brighter on high. You can see a little waterfall trickling inside the unit when this light is on. It's really cute, and again, totally silent. Just a few things to note: - Never add essential oils to the water reservoir, the instructions are clear that this will damage the unit. There is a little tray in the back with an aromatherapy pad that can be used instead. The scent produced is mild, as this humidifier is not a dedicated diffuser, but my orange blossom oil was noticeable and enjoyable. - Dreo customer service is out of this world! There was this little silicone ring not specifically mentioned in the cleaning instructions which I took it off to clean before first use, but I walked away to let everything dry and completely forgot how to put it back on. There are a few different places where the ring looked like it could fit, so I had to sheepishly write to customer support for help putting it back together. Tracy immediately sent me a custom-filmed video of how to reinstall the ring, which was way above and beyond anything I could have asked for. I've never had such a fast and incredibly considerate response from a company, it really blew me away. (Thanks again Tracy, you are seriously fantastic!) I'll include the video she sent me here, just in case anyone else is as forgetful or clumsy as I am. xD - The care instructions recommend use distilled water, not tap. This might be a factor for some people, so I thought I'd mention it. (But using distilled water is always best with ultrasonic humidifiers like this, otherwise you'll be breathing in all the minerals and particulates found in your tap water, and a thin white film will eventually build up all over everything in the area.) - The tank size is really generous, an entire gallon of water is needed to fill it up! That one gallon lasted all day and all night with the unit running on high, and I could definitely feel the difference in the air. Eventually had to turn the humidifier down to low, this thing really works. I am very pleased with this product and would definitely buy another. Super high quality, especially for this price point, and the company actually cares about its customers with phenomenal service and support. I can't recommend it enough, you should get one!

This humidifier is elegant in its simplicity and works better than a more expensive brand
I get spontaneous nose bleeds in dry weather, or if I'm indoors a lot and the heat or A/C are on. I had my nose cauterized and it made no difference, so I have humidifiers on in my home almost every day. For years I used a different brand of humidifier and it worked well, but it was the type where you fill the tank, then have to turn it over to place on its base. I have some permanent damage in both hands which made doing this painful and over time it caused some real problems. Also, this other humidifier is rectangular and has more removable parts, making it surprisingly difficult to clean, at least for me. This Dreo top-fill humidifier is elegant in its simplicity! So easy to fill and to clean and it works even better than the bigger, more complex one I'd been using for years. In very dry, cold weather I had to have two of the other brand on at the same time to keep the humidity up, but one Dreo is doing a great job. I can actually see (as well as feel) that more mist is coming from the one Dreo. The real surprise is that the Dreo cost half as much as the other brand! I bought two of these just in case, but I don't think I'll ever need both on at once as I did with the others. How great is it to have something more efficient, effective, simpler to use AND less expensive?

Perfect Humidifier, but one problem ☑️
I’ve been using this Dreo 4L Top Fill Humidifier for a little over a month now, and it has quickly become one of my favourite home gadgets. What I love: • Super Easy Refill & Cleaning: The top-fill design is a game changer. No more struggling to flip over a tank without spilling water. Cleaning takes just a couple of minutes. • Quiet Operation: At night it’s whisper-quiet (around 28 dB), so I can sleep peacefully without the constant humming that most humidifiers make. Perfect for light sleepers and babies. • Long Runtime: A full tank easily lasts through the night and beyond. On the lowest setting, I get well over a day of mist without needing a refill. • Night Light: The soft glow is calming and works perfectly as a nursery light. • Healthy Mist Output: Within the first week I noticed my skin felt better, my throat wasn’t dry in the mornings, and even my indoor plants looked healthier. One small issue: Since there’s no built-in filter, I did notice that tiny flies can sometimes get into the water tank if left uncovered. It’s not a big problem, but I recommend always keeping the lid closed. ✅ After a full month of daily use, I can say this humidifier is quiet, easy to use, long-lasting, and really improves room comfort. Highly recommend for bedrooms, nurseries, or even larger rooms. 👉 Helpful tip: Use filtered water for longer life and cleaner mist!
