This review is for 2 Way Hose Splitter - Y Connector and Garden Hose Adapter for Outdoor Faucet Use - Heavy Duty Fittings to Connect to Outside Water Hose Bib - Double Valve and Handle Design. I got this adapter to split the water flow from our backyard faucet so that one side can be dedicated to watering the plants (or for our drip irrigation system) and the other side left open for my dog so that he can drink his water at the same time. I had another Y splitter and it was fine but the knob to control the water on and off was a bit small and hard (almost painful) to twist. This one has a really nice and long rubber grip knob which makes it so much easier to turn the water on and off. It came with extra silicone gaskets and Teflon tape but we didn’t need to use them. The adapter fits our faucet perfectly and there was no leak so we’re very pleased with this item so far. Overall, a very nice Y connector for splitting outdoor faucets. It feels sturdy and has a good weight to it. It remains to be seen how well it handles our Chicago weather but so far so good! I’d give it a 4.8/5.0 - 08/05/2023.08/23/2024: One year later (see pix), the hose splitter did not rust but the left side no longer opens and closes when turning the plastic knob. I had to leave it in the closed position permanently in order to be able to use the hose side without wasting water when watering the lawn/garden. I took the unit apart and noticed that the metal “knob” inside behind the plastic knob is fine. I can twist it to open and close with a plier so it’s still functional but the outer plastic knob itself is “garbage” because it’s just plastic. The plastic had worn out over time so when twisting, it just glided over the metal knob inside without twisting that metal knob with it to open or close the faucet. Sad because I did like this one but it only lasted one year because the plastic is just too soft and degraded in one year. They should have just made the entire knob all metal! I’m hoping the other side will last the rest of the season before I have to purchase a new splitter. It is maybe a 3.5/5.0.

Very easy to install. Comes with plumbers tape and extra rubber seals. It fit great on the spigot and the attached hoses fit well too. No leaks or drips. Feels heavy and sturdy and works really well. The valves for on and off are easy to move in the position wanted.
