Must have for road trips with cats!
This was my little Persian cat’s home for 4 days as we traveled by car from California to Missouri. Not only did it come with a little box for when she had to go, but I ended up getting a dual dry cat food and water container separately for the journey along with a cardboard box with a blanket that fix nicely on the other side. My cat made it her place during the car ride and it held up for a carrier when we brought her into the hotels with us at night. The interior of the “hotel” came with a waterproof bottom mat, a waterproof litter box(collapsible and good material) a little foldable water bowl, some toys and a little bag where the whole thing can collapse into. It was a great size for her(8 pound cat), but I wouldn’t necessarily carry the cat inside the hotel if it is heavier than 10 pounds of else the bottom my give out. It served it purpose of travel very well and even allowed for her to feel safe in it once we got to our new home. I still use the litter box it came with size she seems to like the size of it. Definitely recommend for road trips with a cat because it seemed to fit the bill for size, comfort, and necessary items you’ll need for a road trip.

Perfect!
I'm moving across the country with 4 cats! So I spent a long time looking for something they can be in that's big enough but that'll fit in my car. I bought two of these and they're spacious enough for two cats for each one, and they fit in my car. They don't have room to play in them but they'll probably be too scared to anyways. The zippers and everything work great, and it's a nice enough quality for the price. There's no opening or gaps so they'll be safe in them during the drive. The water dish is a little flimsy but it velcros in place, along with the litter box.

GREAT PENS BUT HERE ARE A COUPLE TIPS.
We just recently relocated from PA to FL and bought 2 of these to transport our 4 rescue cats. We we're lucky enough to find a hotel that not only took the 4 cats but our 2 dogs as well. Although you see reviews that state they are not good as a carrier, we were able to pick them up, by the handle, with 20+ pounds per carrier, without a problem. They were a lifesaver for our trip. That being said, there are a couple Cons. My male cat, Moses, was able to escape repeatedly and therefore, Asher also made the great escape with him. The girls were not able to however. If you buy some of the clips in office supplies that hold a bunch of sheets of paper (the black ones with the 2 metal handles above) clip one at the top where the 2 zippers meet at the top far right. Also do the same with the zippers at the side entrance. This will solve the problem. Next Con is that the litter box and water bowl proved disasterous for us traveling. Too flimsy to accommodate a full grown cat and pee, poo & clumping litter ended up inside the pen itself. The cat litter was everywhere and then formed to a cement like substance inside the pen. Much better to stop every 6 hours and let them out, even within the car, to use a regular litter box and bowl for fresh drinking. Second day of travel was much more pleasant. *They washed well via hose and cleaner and although not able to collapse back into a circle to store in carrier bag, I was able to flatten like a rectangle and store them easily.

How I use it for life on the road
My cat travels with me in my car in this cat kennel. It has also proven remarkably useful in stationary situations--so useful that I have yet to fold it up and stow it.Do not pay extra for the folding litter box and food bowls. Your cat's food bowl is his golden chalice, his holy grail. Your cat's everyday dinnerware is the one familiar touch of home that you can bring with you, so do it. Someday we might try the folding litter box.To complete my cat travel kit, I also got Kitty's WonderBox medium disposable litter boxes and a Sherpa collapsible pet carrier that also works for air travel. I took it out for a three week shakedown cruise, and it all worked great together. Before traveling, I set up the cat crate next to my desk and put my cat's bed inside. It immediately became his favorite place in the house. Then, I put the cat kennel in the back seat of my car with the cat bed and litter box inside. My cat tolerated the five hour ride just fine. Even with the litter box available, he has yet to actually use it in the car. Some commentators recommend acclimating your cat to the cat kennel with brief stationary sessions followed by short trips around town. This sounds like a fine idea, but we did not do it. As long as we never see that scary doctor, my 14 year old cat seems fine with it all.Car seats are tilted so I added a blanket or towel under the cat kennel make it flat and level. My Subaru Outback car has 60/40 folding rear seats. The cat crate fit with one seat back up, and the other down. This gave me extra cargo capacity when I needed it most. Measure your back seat to make sure the cat kennel fits with the 40% seat back folded down.At the destination, I removed the cat bed and used the cat kennel as a covered litter box. This helped control the litter that inevitably gets thrown about. Next time I might add a litter mat.Back home from our shakedown cruise, the cat kennel is again next to my desk, where my cat continues to enjoy it daily.

You NEED to buy this!
This thing is amazing! It’s huge, great quality and comes with everything you need. I actually purchased this in the hopes of using it to enclose a litter pan. I have a huge 22 pound cat who has trouble fitting into the end-table style litter box I purchased. But boy do I wish I had this when I moved from CA to TX with my two cats. It’s very well made. Has a large ventilated side window with a zipper and cover, a smaller ventilated zipper window on the smaller end. It has Velcro in all the right places to keep things held down and secure. Comes with a carrying case, two toys to clip inside, a food/water bowl, a litter box, a mice pad that Velcros to the bottom and plastic stakes to hold it into the ground should you choose to take it outside. I’m just floored at how nice this is. I’m 5 foot tall and I can fit more than half my body inside it (yes I tried, I was curious). I’m super, super happy with this purchase. More than worth every penny!
