Not the best choice
This item was very reasonably priced but you get what you pay for. All of the pieces have to be put together and seem flimsy. We tried to return and they said to donate it. Of note, we did not put it together, just donated it in the box so maybe once put together it would have been fine but is is real wood which is not what I wanted.

Screws are easy to strip. Armrests will need extra attention. Cannot beat the price.
The chair is great. Folding mechanism works fine. Assembly is easy. Just time consuming. You will not find another chair for this quality at this price. The pre-seated threads for the bolts were installed with a hex key. If you accidentally cross thread the bolts, good luck! Don't and you will be fine. Cheap paint. It is flat and porous. Wood sap is bleeding into the paint. I plan to spar varnish mine. Otherwise the paint won't last very long. The description says the wood is hemlock. It is definitely some kind of soft wood. Arm rests are unstable. Plan on adding 3 longer screws through the top face of each. Use a countersink and glue. If you are really energetic, replace all the screws with rust resistant deck screws. I have seven more chairs to go. That's my plan for the rest of them. Not sure about the longevity of bolts, nuts and washers on the folding joints. If you are really really energetic.............

Poor Durability and Customer Service – Fearing More Failures
I purchased a set of eight Adirondack chairs for my fire pit area, expecting them to be the perfect fit for cozy evenings outdoors. Unfortunately, this expectation has not been met. To begin with, one chair broke immediately after assembly, for which I was promptly refunded. However, the issues did not stop there.Within just four months of light use, two additional chairs have failed, with the wood on the arm supports splitting severely. This isn't what you would anticipate from a product meant to enhance outdoor living spaces. After contacting customer service, I was reminded of the 60-day warranty – a period too brief for any furniture, let alone outdoor furniture that should be built to withstand the elements. Now, there's a complete lack of faith that the remaining chairs will last through the summer, which is extremely disheartening and not what you'd expect after such an investment. The fact that nearly half the chairs have shown defects so early on suggests a pattern rather than a one-off occurrence, pointing to a potential systemic issue with the product’s design or manufacturing.I feel obligated to warn potential customers of my experience. The prospect of more chairs breaking is concerning and the response from customer support has been unsatisfactory. I can no longer trust the durability of these chairs, and I fear that they won't survive the season. Please consider this when making your decision.

It's a lot of work but.....
I think this would be a great chair to use as a project. You do have to assemble and screw together EVERY single piece. I would highly recommend a power tool/screwdriver due to the massive number of screws. This chair is less expensive than most on the market, so I knew it was going to be some added work for me (full assembly). I will say that screws connecting the moving parts had ALOT of wiggle room and made the chair feel wobbly, so I purchased some rubber grommets to use to fill the space and that offered a little more confidence in the stability. The chair does creak and groan, but I think that adds to the character of the piece. Reminds me of summers in an old porch swing. The color is beautiful. I did leave it outside and noted that some of the paint rubbed off and some cracks became more noticeable. I would advise treating the chair prior to leaving it out in the elements. Sometimes the screw holes didn't align but there was still plenty of space to secure the piece in the right location. The wood is soft enough that it wasn't a problem. Overall, I am looking forward to enjoying my purchase. It was lot of work to put them together. I feel this a great project to teach following steps and making adjustments to achieve the finished product. I had fun watching it come together and troubleshooting for solutions. I was working alone so it took me about 2 hours to get it totally completed I'm sure 4 hands will make the work go much faster. If you are feeling like a challenge, get the chair.

Poor quality materials, poor paint, poor hole alignment
Very disappointed in these chairs. We ordered 2 chairs and one had a nice finish and the other had a very poor chalky paint finish with spots and a very dull finish. Many holes failed to line up and wood immediately started cracking and splitting on non-load bearing parts. Found spots where the wood was filled and poorly repaired prior to being sold. Avoid these and invest in better quality products.
