Like everybody else, the current state of the economy is kicking me in the teeth, which means I'm in no position to purchase any additional art. The only problem is: neither can I afford to have limited edition prints and such framed professionally. So, after much looking, I thought I'd give this do-it-yourself frame a try for an original artwork on canvas. It arrived tight, unscratched, uniform color, with substantial hardware--and it may be one of the easiest and best looking frames I've ever purchased. The acrylic is crystal clear and the frame is perfect. This slightly odd-sized European canvas is a half-inch smaller than the frame but with the black backing, it's not noticeable at all. I couldn't be more thrilled!

I couldn't find any frames I liked in local stores. So I took a chance ordering this, and it turned out even better than I had hoped. The frame is very sturdy, and the measurements are exactly as stated, and the picture fit inside perfectly. As shown in my photos, the portrait looks so much better in this attractive frame than it did before. I couldn't be happier with it! It's very well-made, and comes with a quality back piece, which doesn't necessarily need to be used, but holds the picture inside the frame snugly. There is no hanging hardware on the back piece, but that's not a problem because my canvas portrait is so light weight that I just set the frame on a couple nails in the wall. But a person could attach hanging hardware easily if desired. All in all, I'm so glad I ordered this, I highly recommend it, and I'll order more!!

This is the highest quality frame I've found on Amazon. Sturdy. Deep enough to fit my thicker cross stitch project that's mounted on foam board. Has two grooves inside the frame to accommodate thicker and thinner pieces, really clever design. Smooth corners, not jagged and rough like other frames I've bought. Absolutely going to be buying future frames for my embroidery from this brand.

I bought this to mount a painting on a stretched canvas that was given to me, I framed, as a gift. I would like to have had it in an oak finish, but this color worked well enough. I had to use a hammer to give the canvas a little extra “persuasion” to fit it into the frame; the frame size was correct, but a few staples on the canvas were a bit troublesome. I didn’t use the plexiglass protective glass. This would work just as well to frame a matted print or original work with the plexiglass in front.

Great gallery frame. Meets all the requirements for water color gallery showings in my area ( light weight frame, no glass, wire hanging). Could be used for canvases, also.

I wanted to put little screws in but wasn't able to get the screw to catch to whatever this wood (manufactured wood?) was, but I could put thin nails in to attach wire. Looks super. It was really hard to find a frame this size with a 1" rabbet depth that could hold a canvas. Great price!!!! Highly highly recommended.
