This hat stretcher is probably just as good as many others on Amazon. It's value priced and delivery was very good. These all work reasonably well, but only stretch from front to back. Although this loosens the side to side a little, it is still less than the front to back stretch. This is why most professional hat stretching is done on a full block, which would be very expensive for the amateur. But for the price, this is very good, and with a little work you can stretch your hat back to size.

The only con I have is it's not a true oval. with some minor reshaping of the wooden form it works good. I first purchased another brand that the screws were of less than desirable quality, they seized up before very minimal pressure was applied and ended up turning loose in the wood.

As often happens with time, hats shrink (or heads grow) and that perfect fit is lost. I moistened the sweatband and started applying pressure, checking every couple of hours for the right fit. Once I attained it, I set it and left it for a week. When the event came, the hat fit like it should, and held its size for several hours. This is a really great product and I am glad got it.

I've got an old 6X Stetson I've not worn for years because it is too small. Upon learning of this device, I have been very satisfied with this product. I've stretched it out to be comfortable now, and leave it in my hat when not wearing so it will be "ready at the drop of a hat." I heartedly recommend.

My head is small and I'm in between size 6 3/4 and 7. I always buy on the smaller side because there's really nothing you can do with a hat that's too big. I bought a Brixton cap in 6 3/4 and it was uncomfortably small - it made a mark on my forehead after 5 mins of wear and I thought maybe I'd stretch it by simply wearing it a lot. That didn't happen - I always opted for caps that fit better and would be less of a strain. Felt bad because I spent $60 on the hat, though, and of course, could no longer return. I bought this hat stretcher, put it on the Brixton cap and left it for 2 days. Like night and day. Just that much more room and the hat fits snug but no longer makes a mark on my forehead. It's great because it's a well made hat that looks lovely, and now it's my favorite to wear. I thought it was kind of ridiculous to spend $15 on a piece of wood with some screws in it, but I went for it - and now this is the only reason why I can wear this hat, rather than waste it. Recommend!

It is easy to use and very sturdy. It works well if the hat is a little tight. It won’t add inches.

Great product. I’ve used this with a cowboy hat as well as just regular baseball snap backs. Sometimes on the snap backs, one hole is too tight and the other too loose. This product fixes that perfectly. I would recommend for anyone who regularly wears hats.

If you don't wear your cowboy hat very frequently it does seem to shrink. This will bring it back to your fit and/or keep it just right for when you need it. Excellent item at a reasonable price. Remember to store your CB hat crown side down or you will look like a dude :-(

First off, let me say that I love this product. I did however run into a problem when a friend asked me to stretch their "fitted" hat. The issue was that fitted hats tend to have a lot of flex / stretchy material in them. As a result, to actually "stretch" them, you have to go beyond there normal Stretch/flex range of the material. This unit (size small) was not large enough for this Flex Fit hat.After many trips to fastener stores looking for longer hardware (both normal and reverse thread) I ended up modifying it by removing the bolts (Torx tip) and gluing / nailing pieces of wood inside (see picture) to add another 1/2" on either side of the device. Now it works fantastic!I will gladly purchase a second unit (this time in size large) because I find them useful to keep them inside your hats until you are ready to wear them.BTW, this also works very well on snap backs, which you wouldn't think would stretch, but it worked very well for me.Hopefully this review is helpful for others.

Hat Stretcher- Colourful Adjustable Heavy Duty-Easy to Use, and it is. It's perfect for gently stretching a hat back to its proper size. I wish there was a way of locking the hex thread rod into place, or having a gradient scale to know which hat size it has reached. I constantly have to use a measuring tape to ensure the Hat Stretcher is set at the appropriate diameter. Otherwise, it's very well made. The wood is very smooth and the thread rod turns smoothly and enables minute changes.

Cant say enough about this little gadget.Really well made and man it works perfectly.Stretched a beautiful lined suede cap I havent been able to wear because it was too tight.After using this gadget for a few days fits like it was made for me.Also stretched my husband's quite expensive outback Australian hat which hes only ever worn once.

Love it! Worked wonders on my hat…. Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because it works great but! If i would have been happier if I bought the four sided one
