Q: What adult size would be equivalent to big kids size 6?

Hi, 6 will be good. I got 7 for my boys but I could have got a size 6 in adult size

Q: Can I adjust the strap to fit loser or tighter??

NO THE STRAP IS NOT ADJUSTABLE. The straps have some stretch in it. Beware of the size you select. This really determines the stretch. If you select a smaller size than is appropriate, this will cause tension on the button and it will cause the rubber to tear.
