I love Hornady. Quality products
I love Hornady. Quality products. Easy to use. Use this for my 300 Weatherby Mag cases. Works like a charm! The only bummer is that the handle is separate. But it's no biggy, I ordered it as well. Both work well.!

Fits .172
I have several flash hole deburring tools and this is the only one I found that will fit the 17 caliber. I reload 17 Fireball and have had issues trying to find a tool that fits. The only downside is the pilot. It's smaller than the actual flash hole diameter so I have to take an extra step to uniform the flash holes from the primer pocket side. Not a big deal, just a little more time involved. There is however an upside to the undersized pilot. In the process of reloading 5.56 mil-spec brass, I occasionally run into undersized flash holes. My de-capper will not fit so I end up pitching it. But now I can ream out the flash hole from the inside enough with the spent primer intact. Enough so that the de-capper will work. So in the end it saved me quite a few pieces of 223-5.56 brass. 4 1/2 stars.

Good tool. Uses standard 8/32 threads.
I've used this for deburring flash holes on 223, 300AAC and 308 cases. Works as advertised. I've attached this to my Frankford case prep center since it has standard 8/32 threads.

Don't buy it !
The ream guide (pin) is too small in diameter and the general design of this tool is outdated. Hornady makes a lot of super tools but this is not one of them. Try the K&M tool for a great design.

Do not purchase bit has no retention
Do not buy this the bit free spins when you put any pressure against it it does not have anyway to keep the bit tight
