Excellent Product
As I am writing this review I have this product in use. I just had a knee replacement 10 days ago. The unit has worked flawlessly and has exceeded my expectations. It has kept my swelling way down which translates the much less pain. I would recommend this unit to anyone that needs a consistent source of cooling on there knee or shoulder ankle etc

works good when you have figured out how you like it
After reading the reviews I thought I would write one too. First of all the hoses are supposed to be hard so it doesn't bend if the hose bent it wouldn't flow the water. The water flows through one side and gets sucked in by the other. The pad fills up with the water hence the cooling. Second the hoses go together easy you just push them in. The ones that have the little white ends go in the cooler part the others just push together ,to get apart you push in the clamp end holding it pushed in ,and the hose releases. just play with it and you will figure it out easy. I use the hole length because you can twist it without bending the hoses. When turning it on make the cooler and the hose and pad level like on a little table beside your bed or the floor so all the air bubbles get sucked out of the hoses and pad. The little motor that sucks it in and blows it out is not super strong so keeping it as level as possible when using it will flow better. When I fill it I unplug the ends that run from the cooler and drain the water out of the hose. Then empty and fill 1/2 water and half frozen ice packs or ice , I use ice packs so you don't have to keep getting ice. just make sure you put them in so the lid closes and opens ,if they get stuck just swish it around and open/close.. It doesn't matter what side you use but the clear side of the pad you just put a thin tee shit down on your skin and turn it on. This way you can Velcro the other side around you to the pad.It is good I do like it but it also is a pain in the butt filling and emptying when your by your self. But they are all the same you would still need to do this with any brand. So if your shopping to save money this is I believe the same as any one you pick ,it does the job, and does stay cool/ cold or how you want it to feel for a long time If someone invented it to empty and fill by it self that would be next gen but other than that it is just a cooler with a fish tank pump and water pad. LOL It stays cooler longer than put a ice pack on 100% for sure.

I love the machine and the way it operates. I do NOT like the shoulder pad and straps.
I love the machine and the way it operates. I do NOT like the pad or straps. Very poor quality. And no options to get other types of pads. That is disappointing.

It doesn't have long enough straps.
I bought this after shoulder surgery. Immediately I noticed that the one strap fit nicely around my arm but the strap that holds the upper part on Is very short. In actuality it should come with three straps because there are three places it needs to be held down to make contact with the shoulder parts it needs to. Fortunately I had another small strap from a regular ice pack. I used that one to go around my arm. I used the two that came with the machine to velcro together and now it fits comfortably around my body. I am not a very big person 5'1 and 150lbs. There is no way this would work at all for my husband who has 54 inch shoulders. The machine works well if it doesn't have to pump up. Meaning you can't set it on the floor. It needs to be level to work correctly. 😒 That is a bit of a problem now that I am seven weeks out from surgery. I wanted to get rid of the table by my bed so I could get into my dresser. But if I want to use the machine and have it work I need the table to set the machine on. 🤔 I maybe returning it. For the price I paid it would be nice to be able to set it down on the floor.
