I have several Bench Vises but I needed one that was heavy but not too heavy that I could use in my office work space. I'm a gunsmith and this Vise has all the features I needed for a lot of the work I do to include hooks to a table with a C-Clamp, heavy duty, strong and replaceable non-marring jaws, and an anvil area. This is just what I needed and it works great!

I had to really wrench down on the rotation handle to keep it from moving even slightly. With that said, one of the short Bolts connections to the "U" channel base easily stripped out. Had to retap to larger bolt.

DIYer and have Belen getting by with clamps. Needed to do conduit work so decided to get a vice. When looking for an affordable one, ran across this 4 1/2 and read the reviews so decided to invest in a heavy duty one vs an itsy bitsy that may fail and me possibly get injured.I wasn't disappointed. This a a beefy vice that was maybe slightly higher than the tiny ones. And it did well for my job, mounting on various surfaces. I'm a pinch, I even cut the conduit on a step ladder with this vice being heavy enough to secure the pipe fairly well.My only complaint is that the rotational lock doesn't work all that well. When it's mounted to an edge, and that lock tightened down, the cove still shimmys slightly. I think the nut they used under it isn't all that great. Considering all the beefy mounting screws it has, that feels more like a design flaw than anything else. Still, I highly recommend this as an investment. It's beefy, but small enough that I store it in the box still!

I love that I can use this vice wherever and however. I can attach it to a table or a bench. It is portable and very sturdy. The cost was well worth it, high quality vase for the price!! I highly recommend this item.

Nice clamp to work table

Well made and finished.It was east to install, swivel and and lock into position. I have installed mine on a very narrow log rack in my garage and this allows me to use it for in-house, garage and outdoor projects.It is easily withstood hammer blows while I straightened sheetmetal and nails. It also held materials tightly in position.

Did not want to drill holes in my butcher block worktop. These were the answer. Very sturdy. No problem using them to make cuts.

The vise arrived quickly and well packed, however the box was a bit damaged and the vise had a little scratch, but quality wise i am satisfied, i used it for cut, grind, and weld a project and worked flawless, all the spatter from welding did not adhere to finish, and some spatter did stay at the replaceable jaws but with a little pass with the wire wheel left it like new. Nice weight and size compared to my old small vise.
