This thing will just about grind anything!! Size is perfect to fit in slide out IKEA kitchen sink cabinets. Which some other brands the back of the slid out will hit the bottom of the disposal. It’s a solid and durable build that’s easy to install. Efficient and top class. No leaks due to the design quality.

very Quiet and easy to install

This disposal is an absolute beast. I replaced a 20 year old 1/3hp unit and this is much quieter. Installation was simple and straight forward. I would highly recommend.

I havent tested it with anything crazy like peach pits but it's notably stronger than the badger 5 ( which is 1/2hp). Super easy to install if you had the same brand before. The removable rubber cover for the sink drain is nice. If you have a dishwasher drain make sure you remove the drain plug it has before you install it. Also it doesn't come with a power cord so I got the one with the clip. Sound level reduction for me was significant vs my prior model so I can recommend based on these things. Longevity I can't comment on.

Very good product, fairly simple install. A bit loud but, hay...its a garbarge disposer so I guess noise is not excessive for the 4-6 seconds it runs. Not sure about how well it macerates the garbage - no knowledge. We';e had it now for several months and seems to work. NOTE, love the easy way the rubber strainer can be removed for those times when you've got to stick your hand down there to get something that has fallen in despite the strainer barrier.

Kind of a pain to install yourself but doable. Works as it should. Super quiet.

We are replacing a 12 year old Insinkerator Badger 3/4. The fact that the old Badger lasted that long makes me confident in purchasing another Insinkerator. We opted for the Power model because, unlike the Badger, this has 2 stage grinding and fits our budget. This garbage disposal is noticeably quieter than the one we replaced and very easy to install. We didn't need to replace the mounting collar since it's the same collar from 13 years ago...I applaud this company for maintaining this feature! It also came with a couple of pipes for the install, but we chose to use the PVC pipe we already had. It came with a sink stopper & a removable sink baffle. I like the idea of being able to remove that baffle for cleaning from time to time...those things get nasty. We didn't lose any space with this replacement. I was surprised, when reading the instructions for use, that besides grinding ice to scour the disposal, you should also grind small bones & fruit pits for scouring. I've used the disposal every day for 2 weeks and am very happy with it.

Ok, we'll start with the important stuff. The large black plastic cover on the outside is for looks and maybe a little sound deadening. It will come off easily with four little torx screws. So if your under sink plumbing looks like a jungle and you find that this disposal won't fit... remove the black plastic cover and you will find that the new disposal is not any bigger than your old 1/2 HP disposal. The install was very easy, and the redesigned rubber drain thingy is now removable and easy to clean, which makes wifey happy.
