Alice Isn't Dead Paperback – 31 Aug. 2021

I started off my adventure with Alice Isn’t Dead by finding the podcast first. After listening to the first season, I discovered that there was a book by the same name. I’m so happy I found this! It was such a good read and I couldn’t put it down. The book has good character development, keeps the reader engaged, and wanting more. I also love the beginning premise of the book. If you’re loved one had mysteriously died and you’ve gone through the grieving process only to see them later in the background of a news broadcast, why would you do? Although the book is fantastical with its antagonists and villains, it also seems realistic with government conspiracies and scapegoats. Overall a great read. I plan to read more books from Fink and the Nightvale series

I like how effectively creepy the Thistle people were written; it was comprehensible to understand how they looked, and it was incomprehensible how unnerving it was--that's good!The main character, Keisha, has really well thought-out development through the story, and is one of my favourite (and most relatable) protagonists. Her anxiety attacks felt natural, rather than underestimated. . . or worse yet, overestimated.Alice Isn't Dead was a satisfying find and a recommended read for anyone into monster stories, and the surreal realistic telling of real-world complacency.

Buen libro, pero tardo demasiado en llegar y eso que compré la preventa

This is an amazing book. Only gave it 4 stars because I don't really give any book 5 stars. This is a truly beautiful story, holding so many elements that I love in science fiction and horror and combining it with a beautiful story and character development. I can imagine that this book may not be some people's favorite for several reasons. However this book just haopened to be one that cheered my mind and heart foe a while. The Only part i didn't like (partial spoiler) is that the main character is kind of cruel to her wife at tve end, and while under the situation of this story, the emotional reaction makes sense and isn't wrong, it's just not my personal style and didnt resonate with me very well as a character. All in all great book

I bought this book as a fan of the podcast. As the author describes it, it is a reimagining of the story told in the podcast, with some events presented in a slightly different order. If you are looking for an imaginative supernatural suspense story, then this is a good book to get. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was that I was disappointed the author did not go further into depth into this world's characters. I didn't learn anything new about them or very little of anything new in this universe like I was hoping to. It might be because I knew the plot from having listened to the podcast, but I found this version less suspenseful than the podcast version. Perhaps because the podcast stretched out the mystery over three seasons of short installments, while in the book, we uncover the mystery much more quickly. Still was worth the money.
